You're opening boxes of cards with "historical significance." The names you've pulled certainly do have that. For those who enjoy sports, particular names hold definite significance. Obviously, for basketball fans, Jordan will always be a name you want to find on a high-quality card pull. Just because his contribution was to the world of sport, doesn't mean it's any less significant than Glenn's contribution to space exploration...or Henson's work in entertainment.

Completely. Your cheapest cut will be maybe around $50 or so, but most of the time the avg cut will be around $100-$150 (which is already 1/3-1/2 of your money back). Plus, there is historical significance to these cards and autos. With Basketball, you may pull a Jordan auto. Who cares about Jordan?? Same with Hockey and Football. The only other sport that come close is Baseball (for resale and collectability).
