ORIGIN late 16th cent.(denoting an opening up of the sea or land, as in an earthquake): from Latin chasma, from Greek khasma gaping hollow.

Yeah mastering tracks for iPod/CD is a lost art lately, based on other things I hear people put out there. people just pay the 50 bucks to put their albums on iTunes but they aren't nearly as good right out the gate as this is. keep it up, can't wait to hear more!

You always surprise me Mary. After the first couple measures go by in light, airy meldoci fashion, I wasn't expecting the style of the first verse at all.

The two of you sound wonderful together. Meredith's vocals seem to be a perfect harmonic match to yours.

The little puase at the beginning of the second verse is cool. I can hear that working very well with a full band. I also really like the backing guitar in the 2nd verse.

Going back to the intro to close was a good choice.
