This is absolutely amazing! The energy thats hits you when Jay starts singing is simply unbelievable! It has begun, yes sir, and there's absolutely nothing in the world that can stop you to feel it, right? *g* And the whole band - boy!! what a sound and feel, delicious, devine!!! Yeah, yeah, yeah! More pleeeeazeeeee!!
It's not lip-sync it's just the usual badly synced up video to audio. i have lots of DVD's like this. There is a fair bit of post-production on this though! The lead vocal sounds tracked as does the BVs' They sound very thick. Great though!
@youbass1 oh yes it is lip-sync, i love this song, i heard the original studio version from the Airplay LP 100 times ! I can tell you the vocals are exactly the same on the studio version that on this live version. All the other instruments are live, but the vocals is overdubbed.
thanks, my cd with the concert is not working anymore (bad CD-R burned in 2001 or 2002). happy to see this again. with the late claude gaudette on keyboards :( he was a very nice producer. R.I.P !!
thanks snelitt...I now have the only album Airplay did, I bought it on ebay from japan after hearing this then the tracks 'Stranded' and 'Cryin all night'. I seriously suggest to anybody who really liked this track to get hold of the album, it is unbelievable! :)
is this song called Airplay? soz if to most its obvious im just not 100% sure. Never heard of it before and only heard of Jay Graydon because of an Al Jarreau album (High Crime) i heard last night. Amazing track, and once again thank christ for youtube :)
Seems like at least half of my favorite songs end up being written by Jay Graydon ... awesome song and amazing band! Love it! (Better than Manhattan Transfer's version by a mile!)
Jay Graydon and David Foster together on an album since the Airplay years
Yeah, it just happened on FLY AWAY: THE SONGS OF DAVID FOSTER.
Jay is featured on an outstanding new version of "Nothin You Can Do About It" and David Foster plays on Boz Scaggs' "Look What You've Done" and the album's prelude.
Other performers include the late Waren Wiebe, Bill Champlin, Jeff Pescetto, Bill Cantos, etc.
Incredible players.... Poor Warren Wiebbe ! What a great singer - a tragic loss... From what I know, David Foster did everything he could to help Warren's career...
Jerry Hey, Leland, the horns, whew !! True geniuses..
david foster, jay graydon, gerry hey,lee sklar..la crema della crema,i piu' grandi tessitori di melodie degli anni 80/90e speriamo degli anni a venire.Tanks for this beautifull music.GRAZIE.
there used to be more videos posted here from this David Foster concert in Japan .. But it is not there anymore .. Maybe taken down with the release of David Foster new DVD "Hit Man"
what a big surprise, i thought Jay Graydon was only a guitar player, but has awasome voice ^^ ty

Best horn section I've heard!
That is actually Larry Williams on sax with the Legolas hair.
(Our L to R): Larry Williams (sax), Jerry Hey (trumpet), Gary Grant (trumpet), Bill Reichenbach (trombone).

thank you! Jay&david&airplay♪

unless it was somehow Neil Stubenhaus
Isn't that Warren Wiebe singing back up?

@Breckmin forget what I said about Neil Stubenhaus
I was thinking of another bass player. Clearly it's Leland
