Im 4 months into my dreadlocks and they are almost locked. Youre hair is beautiful. is it me or do women with locks just fill a spot inside of you. Its like thats how it should be. You know! but anyway I think they are wonderful. ALso I seen what you mixed to twist. here is a great mixture i think you will like that i use and its great for the roots and it holds. take the lock, twist & hold by royal roots. Mix about 1/4 of that with 2/4 real honey, and 1/4 of white rain gel or any gel.

do you only shampoo every 3 weeks or do the twist last even when you shampoo and don't re twist?

Yep! I do a deep shampoo about every three weeks but I do sometimes wash in between if I need it and it does get a little puffy at the roots but I personally don't mind that look at all. For the most part, when I wash, it holds good enough that I don't feel the need to re-twist. I'll take some pictues after a shampoo/no re-twist and post them for comparrison. Yep! Olive oil is one of my favs. I have combined a few of my locks before, a few I left alone because it worked but a few I took back apart because it wasn't. You know your head better than anyone so do what you know. Thanks for stopping by, I appreciate it.

Your locs look really nice. I wish I had the patience to use a product to retwist, but I just use water and sometimes Aloe Vera Gel. You look great!
