It's like a time machine. All of the sudden I'm back in Kansas City and it's 1993, I'm 9 years old, chilling in my Dad's old toyota jammin. It took me years to find this song, I would just sit at the computer and think for hours, "what was that one song", and I found it tonight. By the way, this would be really embarrassing if someone I knew, knew I loved this song. oh well.

@Urgessa Ha ha, When you were 9 years old in K.C., I was 21, at a famous dance club called "The Edge," downtown. I remember they'd play mostly house, but once in a while, they'd play this. It does have that K.C. summer feel to it -- windows rolled down with not a care in the world!

I don't understand why capable singers like that can't have longer careers. There were, back then plenty of pop song writers that put out hits one after another, that could have written material for them. It does escape me. I have heard of the lead singer being to fast n the trigger of lauching a solo career and that flopped, but I am not sure.

The version you're referring to is from 1993 and was edited down to radio length from the Hot Mix (remix service) version, which was played on KS104 in Denver, bringing it to the U.S. and finally to radio.

I remember jamming to this in the Summer of 1992 but could not find it anywhere. When I asked for it at the music store they showed me the Prime Cuts DJ-Only record that had it and said it was the only thing they had with this song but those records cost like 25 dollars each. It finally came out in 1993 as a single. The long version was boring and sounded nothing like the long version the radio played. Sounds great at 20 years old! The originals version is interesting too.

Prime PWL pop brilliance - one of the best SAW songs they did in the 90s, proving they could make hits in the next decade not just the 80s. Listen close this reminds me of another obscure 1992 PWL song: Former Miss USA Suzette Charles' Free to Love Again. The vocals, the groove, the hook, the edits at 1;50...perfect.

I was in Europe and was listening to American top 40 with Shadoe Stevens every Saturday on the radio. I was so upset that I wasn't able to see the video for this song (song was never released as a single in europe so MTV Europe never played it.)

That fifth girl who left the group looks like Pink! :-) It's always shocking to see her in there. I think this is one of the best songs of the 90s (certainly the PWL re-remix!). The ginger one also has a great voice but Johnna should have been a huge star. Her solo album just wasn't good enough -- 80% of it sounds like the same Euro trance remix! I feel sad for the Boy Krazy girls that they were not able to go on to dominate the world like Scary, Posh, Ginger, Sporty and Baby Spice! It is a genuine shame. And the lead singer in this song has been suffering with addiction like Amy Winehouse. Yet, she lacks the fame and fortune for everyone to care.
