  • LMBOOOOOO.

    A

    BEE

    SEE

    NAZI

"but he said he was going to kill me"

I don't think that was the point of the experiment.

  • the point is that you respect a well dressed person over a hobo

  • soc 102 is so god damn cheap...

  • would love it if u did the Meeus and Raaijmakers study :)

  • lol...i think i understood this video more than my textbook

  • I want the music but can't find it! And its a good video I watched in Psychology class

  • my science teacher showed us this today :)

  • men in camouflage coats have the same effect as the ones in white coats.

  • I have no idea whatsoever, but you can find out by watching the REAL Milgram experiment, it's a black and white and here on youtube.com.

  • The claim that 65% of Americans gave 450 volt shock, therefore, 2/3 of Americans (and others) are evil, misses Milgram's point. Milgram did 19 variations of this experiment, varying the relationship between the scientist, teacher and victim. As a result of the variations, 0% to 90% of people gave 450 volt shocks to victims. Milgram argued his proves the particular relationship with authority, not innate evilness in people, causes such evil acts.

  • @rippelfamily not to mention sometimes the scientist was not even there. you would be surprised how much correlation there is between the closeness of the victim and experimenter.

  • OMG this's really good, tomorrow I gonna have this class, and I already understand it because of you :D thanks you so much!

  • the funny thing is that if a teacher were to tell the class to shut up and listen, 9/10 kids wouldn't actually respond. but if a creepy doctor tells some randoms to give a stranger an electric shock, they will.

  • "Oh okay. See you in hell." LMAO

  • This means 2 out of 3 people are assholes.

  • It would be the same with any human, not just a american, similar experiments have been down in Britain with the same results...

  • somehow Vsauce got me here...

  • @ShhhShad0w same, its funny l0l

  • this was Hilarious!!!

  • I have to present a paper in this topic. Could i use this video for my paper?

  • 17 people received real electrik shocks

  • haa awesome. i actually found this out by my gcse psychology teacher, i'd definately remember to write this key study in my exam! i did a recreation in my favorites. your my inspiration, i hope more keystudies are comming :D

  • Funny, I was the 70000 view for the first time, and the 100 comment.

    Btw great video, really!

I had to make a huge work about milgram experience based on eichmann case, this experience had more than 30 variations, from 2 "teachers" not agreeing to many other things.

    This experience is genious really,!

  • surprisingly this is highly educational with respect to the Milgram Experiment.

  • I would not say that the americans acted identical to the natzi's simply because the man in the white cote told the learners that there would be no long term damage.

  • Comment removed

  • Are you a Stanley Kubrick fan? I noticed the Dr. Strangelove AKA Dr. Kissinger reference.

  • @ChironUSA I am, he's genious. But I only like his movies, dont know the rest of his work.

  • @FailDrummer Im sorry his movies what you mean?

  • No, shit for real?

  • very helpful thank you very much, have you ever considered making simuler animations for other case studies?? *crosses fingers* (make my studying easier)

  • @KKEEAANNUU1994 Which one would you like?

  • @paulpasadena could you please do asch's study on conformity with the lines. thanks

  • a very good demonstration of the experiment.a very hard experiment a could not believe my eyes really very hard

  • that was amazing, our teacher showed it to us in our psychology class, but im in my second year now so we'd allready studied it (unfortunatly, this would have been a fantastic revision video for my exams)

But yeah, as I was saying, It's very effectivly done with enough information to get all the marks and condesned down to an easy to remmeber style and of course, the humour always helps with the learning :)

    great job!

  • Great work! Now if only we could make other psychological experiments seem that interesting. :)

  • our psychology teacher used this in our milgrams lesson :3

then we acted out the experiment

    this was great material!!!!

  • @sketchaholicgirl ha!! we did exactly the same, sheesh Lydia screamed so loud, killed my ears O.o

  • @sketchaholicgirl ye she did, but thought i'd give you link as it is brilliant and highly useful, lol, mum thought i was messing about on internet, but nope ^^ i weas doing my psychology and even showed her the video

  • Inflicting pain on people can bring out someones aggressive behavior.

  • I watched this in class today......

  • amazing atheist? is that you narrating?

  • Revising for my core studies exam next thursday, thanks dude.

  • This is awesome, thanks!

  • Far more amusing than the other videos I watched for my psych course. Well done, sir.

  • People never wondered how a deadly electric shock could influence learning? If you're dead, you obviously didn't learn from the first 10 shocks!

  • @Shaung1231 I'd love it! Glad you liked it!

  • Cool stuff, helped me out heaps. Simple and to the point! Funny too.

  • Thanks for this video, I really appreciate it, it helps loads when revising for psychology! =D

  • lmaoo I love thiss...this is awesome

  • Great video. Great animation. They should show this on Cartoon Network. The more I learn about people, the more I love my dog.

  • also love the the bar chart.

  • love the tasks.

  • Not very representative of the Actual experiment but not bad for the general concept.

  • LOL

  • I like how you explain how stupid people are when they view this with the knowledge the experiments were false, but it totally does do justice to why Milgrams experiment really was so horrific.

  • thanks for the video, i just got what it is all about for my psychology class.. Peace!

  • @serina87 you're welcome!

  • @paulpasadena Are you a Stanley Kubrick fan? I noticed the Dr. Strangelove AKA Dr. Kissinger reference.

  • @ChironUSA I am a HUGE Stanley Kubrick fan!

  • This is awesome.

  • Thank you. I appreciate it!

  • The guy at the other end of the wall is a SM slave or just really stupid :)

  • aah you son of a bitch, when i'm gonna get out of here i'm gonna kick your ass, do you hear me?

you're dead, you are fucking dead!!!

    :D:D:D

  • xD ja pass auf hearst sonst spüts granada^^

  • Be aware: people telling you what to do all the time, even if it is not good for you!Take resposability!

  • Actually, there were 3 participants per round in Milgram's experiment. The person getting shocked was an actor. The entire point of this study was to determine people's obedience to authority. 40 people were tested. Of the 40, 26 administered what they believed was a fatal dose of electicity to a stranger because a guy in a lab coat gave them $4.50 and told them to keep turning the dial.

    cute video tho.

  • LOL, crude but effective

  • im having a presentasion tomorrow about milgram, hope u dont mind me showing it :) kudos 2 u man! awesomely done :P

  • lynda sez well dne

    dwn with the nazi s

    x

  • Well tell Lynda I said thank you!

  • i did too.. my lecturer showed us this...everyone enjoyed it!

  • Cool cool cool!

  • Haha, this made me laugh about the Milgram experiment, rather than feel depressed about it. :)

  • Good, because comedy was my intention!

  • i watched this in my psychology class today.

  • That's cool! I made this as a final for my social psychology class. Did the class like it? But more importantly, did you like it?

  • Comment removed

  • hahaha yeah the class loved it and so did i..i always ask my teacher if the videos we will watch is inappropriate cuz i like those kinds and he said that this one is a little.but yeah, i loved it and i was laughing my ass off and i loved the music! we have to come up with some project like this too!! thanks for the help and keep making vids ! :)

  • "But...but he said he was going to kill me!" "Don't you worry about it. I shall take full responsibility!" Lol now this made me laugh so damn hard!!! Great job with this!

  • @Vanisherishere `same lol he said it like a russian

  • this vid is kinda funny.

  • pretty damn good. hope you got an A

  • Who's to say it's not funny? You? Just because you don't find it funny, doesn't mean others won't. Some tribes used to laugh as rather large predators tore their children apart. Obviously some people here thought it was funny.

  • LOLOLOL

  • Actually 100% of participants went up to 300volts (or thereabouts.), which is enough to kill someone. After this point the tape (or the actor) was silent. 64% of participants then went up to 450volts, the maximum.

  • it was white

  • it was grey, read the study again.

  • was grey

  • It was actually a white coat. The study was repeated with the experimenter guy wearing a grey coat and they found that obedience declined.

  • Are we honestly arguing over the color of his coat.

It is not significant at all.

  • It is significant as it gave the appearance of more authority than the grey coat did.

  • This is baddd

    Its wrong loads of times

  • yeah

first of all they werent actors it was a recording

  • The men suposedly geting electric shoks were actors, the participant weren't and didn't know the true nature of the experiment.

  • It's not tooooo wrong.

  • haha love it !!

  • thats awesome, thanks! :)

  • i stil dont understand this!!!! itz confusingg

  • Are you serious?!?!?!?

  • lolol

  • haha watched this today in class!!!! so funny!

  • this was great

  • Your video is funny alright, but I am not sure if that is a good way to present what the results of that experiment seems to point at: most humans strongly disapprove wrongful violent obedience, and still two of every three people you see in the street would electrocute you to death if a laboratory technician asked them to. Can we go on blaming or praising others for their actions? Is something like ethical education possible? How could we (seriously) stop worrying about that?

  • although its disturbing to think that a cartoon makes such a facinating find more interesting, ur alittle incorrect on the white coat thing. they actualy changed what the experimenter was wearing to control the authority of a white coat. still got the same results though.

  • dude, i just studied this in class and this was actually a lot funnier. lol

  • lies the real deal was fuckin hilarious

  • ROTFL!!! XD

"You know I gotta shock you again."

    "Oh *bleep* really?"

    "Yeah."

"Alright then. See you in hell."

  • Great stuff. I busted a gut as always. I've got tears in my eyes! I love it when the guy threatens to beat the other guy! And thanks for adding the eye blinks! Looks great!
