You know what really amazes me how much hate you find online directed toward Obama. Can you imagine if there were a bunch of minorities out there saying these sort of things about McCain or Palin. Chicago ACORN organizer Toni Foulkes wrote in the 2003 edition of the journal Social Policy that the two groups were working to register voters when Obama led the effort in Illinois.

She wrote that Obama and Project Vote made it possible for Carol Moseley Braun to win her Senate seat in 1992, and that "Project Vote delivered 50,000 newly registered voters in that campaign (ACORN delivered about 5,000 of them)."

Also Raines, former chair and CEO of Fannie Mae, stepped down in 2004 but managed to take with him a multimillion-dollar parachute and a monthly pension of $114, 393 for life. Until recently, Raines was an advisor to Obama, who was the Senates second largest recipient of campaign contributions from Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac.
