@MadCowMindTV In order: Rempart, in English, refers to a fort. (The R in the logo kind of gives it away...) Nordique refers to natives of the Ungava region of Quebec(or in shorter terms, a French northerner).
You knew someone was eventually going to use Bouncing Souls' Ole`! as a goal song. It's a real song, not the PA announcer. I'm not surprised it was used by a Quebec-based team. I have nothing against Quebecers (except the Habs team from 1993. F Jacques Demers!), but when Habs fans come in to Staples Center and start singing soccer chants like Ole`!, that's where I draw the line. I should have beat the crap out of the idiot who had the balls to hold up a sign that said "1993" on it.
Canadian Hockey will remember this horn as the one being played after Ilya Kovalchuk's game winner in the 2008 World Championship. It added shame to the goal for Canada. Good player, bad goal.
The remparts will never replace the nordiques, since it's not NHL hockey, but they still rule and I love them. I wish we got a NHL team back but that won't happen soon. We never know, one day, though...
Remparts also have a second goal horn that MTL Habs used from 2000-2003 but the difference is that lyrics were added
