If you jailbreak ur iphone it would be able to play .ipa files (cracked apps) on ur iphone also u could change themes and do much other stuff. XD

NO REASON TO JAILBREAK

apps for iphone3g, itouch, etc are save on your conputer as .ipa files and all you would have to do is download cydia apps online and then check and see if they are .ipa files and if not go to control panel and go to folder options and uncheck hide file extentions and then find the app and change the file to .ipa and then drag it to itunes and itunes would then take it and you could put on your iphone 3g, itouch, etc. so really there would be no purpose in jailbreaking

Dude, even if you just put the .ipa files through itunes it won't actually work on the actual iphone device (i know because i actually tried it before jailbreaking mine.) in fact the app wouldn't even appear on the iphone screen so yes you would need to jailbreak the iphone to play .ipa files and to change themes on the iphone.

Hi all iphone users,

I'd just like to ask if ANYONE knows if I can change my iphone theme IF i use a 2G sim card (meaning I have no access to cydia/internet, etc)

Is it possible? I've heard I can download winterboard/summerboard. I used winpwn and upgraded my Firmware to 2.0.

Any comments or opinions? pls hit reply to my comment if you have any knowledgable tips!
