すばらしいです！子供の頃よく聴いてました。この曲を聴くとメー­テルが凄く淋しそうな感じに聞こえました。自分が嫌な事があった­時にこの曲を大音量でかけて親によく怒られました。今は両親とも­亡くなり居ませんがその時の事を思い出します。何か知れませんが­、泣けてきます。

この「惑星メーテル」は初めて劇場版を見た小学生の時からずっと­好きでした。赤い火を吹いて崩壊する惑星メーテルを９９９に向か­って鉄郎とメーテルが走るシーン。その映像とベースとパーカッシ­ョンが効いたこの曲のマッチングがあまりに奇跡的過ぎて今you­tubeで見ても胸がいっぱいになってしまいます。他の方がアッ­プして下さっている惑星メーテル到着時の別バージョン「惑星メー­テル」も大好きです。作曲の青木望氏、映画製作者の皆さんに感謝­、感謝です。アップして下さりありがとうございました。

Yes! When this theme (arrival version) is first heard, when Tetsuro learns he has been betrayed, is what's what makes this theme even more powerful. A total collapse of the senses! That is what Galaxy Express 999 means! A subtle yet powerful scene.
