This game has my MOST hated pet peeve: The re-textured monster thing. I HATE games that have like 5 models for monsters and just palette swap them and call them a new monsters. I can see doing this for a few monsters but having 116 of your monsters only be 5 models is annoying. In FF10 I got sick of seeing the same monsters over and over.

It's like if you played pokemon and the pokedex is 150 pokemon made up of 12 different sprites just recolored and slightly edited.

I'm still baffled as to why EVERYONE loved this damn game the first time it came out. I guess the gameplay was kinda fun; it DID keep me interested for an entire hour into the Fields Of The Chocobos (you know the one with the Chocobo eating monster) despite all of the stupid, stupid things I immediately noticed.

i know people overly hate this game... but it was my first FF so I have a bit of love for it...

I know there are bad parts, but I think what just kept me going was the world and the history around Spira.... Spoony says he doesn't care about the history or whatever, but that's what makes an FF gameworld so interesting.

I love Tidus. He's weak and flawed but confident and optimistic and he cares a lot. His character is immaturity but he works really hard. I love your videos and find them hilarious but if you hate THIS game you've got to be really close minded. Or just stop playing Final Fantasy games . Or wait, don't stop, or you won't make any more entertaining videos filled with your screaming and flailing. Subbed!

@fantasysoul5 The FF games on the PSOne were much better. When I finished this game, I just felt disapointed and it left me wanting more. If I'm going to put 50+ hours into a game, it better be worth it.

If he hates Tidus THIS much, I really want to see his reaction to Vaan from FF12, HE... WAS... MUCH WORSE!!, how could Vaan be classed as the main character when there was much better and more interesting characters, Basch, Fran, Ashe and especially the far more superior Balthier could of replaced him...

You and me both! It's really a shame they slapped Vaan in the story line because "he appeals to the target demographic". When a 12 year old boy has more maturity and charisma THEN THE MAIN CHARACTER you know it's bad. Some how he got his own game like "sorry for this crappy hero let's try and make it up to you" and I found him just as uninteresting in that. YET some how he gets a cameo in FFTA2 and die a little inside.

Yeah that's how I feel everytime I see Vaan slipping his way into the franchise..

He has absolutely no main characters aspects: he's not interesting, you don't wanna play as him, surely no-one can relate to him as a person and his story is completely out-shined during the game by the other characters. Literally all the other characters (except Penelo) have better stories... and he's 'the face' of FF12? I lost interest in his role 1 hour in! Reks' story was better!

@LLF0 I honestly don't believe Spoony ever made an insult about Anima. If anything, he was complimenting her by referring to her by a biblical name because of how utterly terrifying and powerful she is. Anima is a badass; next to Auron, Yojimbo, and Bahamut, she is one of the few things you can't insult about this game.

@lildread1 Actually, Cloud did less whining. Cloud is an emo, and while they're annoying they tend to be the whiners who are the least annoying. Emos usually keep to themselves and won't whine except as a response. Cheerful whiners like Tidus on the other hand will annyo you no matter what. Plus, as annoying as Cloud could be, he made up for it by being totally badass, a quality which Tidus failed miserably at.
