I agree that these lifts look really stupid. The trucks and awesome, but noone needs 4 feet of lift! as previously stated, a lift is only as high as your axles. I don't care if you put 60" tires on them, they still don't need that amount of lift..they would look much cooler and still function with about half the lft.

What is not realized about the lift also is that these guys use different tires depending on what they are doing. If it is hill n hole they run smaller tires so they can get off of the line better. If they are in deep mud they run much taller tires so they can go deeper. They do not change their lift when they change tires so the smaller tires look funny.

The trucks are lifted so high to make room for tall skinny tires with paddles. The reason there is so much on top is mud displacement on top on rotation. Wide tires do nothing but slow you down. You need skinny tires to cut the mud. As far as the lift goes, you could put a 10 ft lift on it and it wouldn't matter. These trucks are designed to drive in straight lines for the most part. As long as you don't disrupt the center of center too much, the truck will be fine. The best way to learn abo

On deep mud, it's the big tires that do the job, because they allow for the axles to sit higher. Those ridiculous lifts are just making the trucks unstable.
