  • can you put one up on how to play the hardest button to button

  • Nice vid Marty, and to the guys below me: I doubt that he's gonna do any Avenged Sevenfold because they're terrible. If you want to learn a song try listening to it and playing by ear, or better yet learn to read tabs.

  • Marrrtaaayy you gotta do some Avenged Sevenfold songs dude!!

  • yes avenged sevenfold nightmare bat country anything!!!!!

  • i hope the little fella gets his shrimp boat

  • seriously man do casual sex please

  • thnx man

  • For all us acoustic players out there. Here's some tab

    E---7----7----10----7----5----3----2--------|

instead of using the 12 as your first note. Sounds the same.

  • @agentdills you saved my friend

  • is it badd if i bend strings the opposite way? like towards the floor..

  • @spazzymcgee5678 it doesnt really matter i do it both ways

  • @spazzymcgee5678 well my guitar teacher told me a long time ago that you have to bend the E, A and D strings towards the floor; but you bend the g,b and high e, up

  • hmmmmmmmmmmmm should i sign up to be maty's friend ???

  • @KingJulianDavid haha wtf he is a noob i u can call him that???? But u r a very calm person -- usually people tease newbies.

  • definately gotta get some avenged sevenfold songs in mate! awesome teacher and id love to learn some avenged sevenfold!!

I'm a raw beginner, and I have a cheap guitar.

  • its too hard man i found out how to play htis song by myself and its more easy but its ok :)

  • Pinky time is good time y'all. Remember that. :D

  • i totally agree with you, puertoricancodPLAYER, A7X rules!

  • seven nation army is on open a and is actually easier because its all bars with a slide

  • I think Jack White does the Intro on the A-String. Like 7-7-10-7-5-3-2. And the Chorus is a Powerchord rooted on the same Notes. And the alternate Riff is 7-7-10-7-5-3-5-3-2.

  • @JohnHubersKanal thanks a lot

  • damn man thanks, ive been trying to play that for awhile

  • You think you could do a three days grace break lesson

  • thnx marty your awsome

  • Im guessing when he doesnt give you a tuning that it's just standard right?

  • @GodsmackFTW yup!

  • @Divingforfun96 play with the song and listen... i begin at 77 10 7 5 3 2

  • @MsLiamz you dont even need a lesson for that its just a G C D chord progression throughout the whole song

  • marty what scale can we solo off of with this? would it be E minor pentatonic? or would it be the relative minor of the major scale and chords of E?

  • Thank you Marty, I can do some kinda death metal version of this now, but I needa save for a very good camera for recording.

  • could u make a vid on how to play Keep your head up by andy grammer.. thx

  • tuned down a half step?

  • ur the best teacher ever

  • Learn power chords. Ive been playing 2 months without formal lessons and I can do almost everything

  • Comment removed

  • @JBspode3 sure u can

  • @JBspode3 if you've only been playing 2 months with no lessons and you can already do almost everything you must be a guitar phenomenom, the likes of slash, clapton, steve vai, knopfler ect all spent years learning to play properly. maybe you should start doing some lessons if your so good.

  • @sirsmokey1984 I heard Joe Satriani once say he used to spend 12 hours a day learning on his guitar.

  • i dont get the power chords

  • ur awesome!!!

  • How many different hats you got Marty?

  • i want that guy for brother!

  • Saviour by Rise Against

  • :O, thanks Marty! I've learned this song 'cause of you... Keep rocking.

  • how fo u do thechords to this song

  • i have a flying v guitar it doesn't sound much like an electric guitar what type of guitar is the best?

  • @777PokemonDude if you are a begginner is a simple electric guitar ESP, or Ibanez

  • @777PokemonDude that is all relative to your playing style. i personally prefer les pauls but thats me

  • strangely enough, jack white played this song in open a tuning, but this way is cool too for beginners

  • 7-7-10-7-5-3-2 on the A-String is correct. But the guitar is in another tuning. Jack White played it on one string in "It Might Get Loud" where he was showing Jimmy Page and The Edge how to play it. And there's no bass in it. Just a guitar and drums. The guitar sounds like a bass because of the Wah Wah

  • @StillStuckLearning there is no bass. but neither wah-wah :P it's a drop-octave pedal :D

  • @rockonbogdan Oh. I knew it was a pedal of some sort. But still, my comment makes it clear that this is wrong

  • @StillStuckLearning he probably knows their is no "bass" but it sounds like a bass so what's the difference lol

  • Dose this guy realaize how much HELP he is giving out?:)

  • can you teach the "expert" version with the slide and stuff? everyone teaches the beginner version :(

  • it sounds better in power cords on the 7,7,10,7,5,3,2 thats my opinon :D

  • can u play INVADERS MUST DIE by THE PRODIGY

  • Ok dont cry just cuz he didnt do it the 'offical way'

  • ha ha wrong way to play

  • @JRhoades1919 thats the same

  • @JRhoades1919 same here. Too me tht way is easier, they sound about the same tho when i do it.

  • @JRhoades1919 That's the intro, what he's teaching you is the more "rocking" part somewhere in the middle of the song.

  • @JRhoades1919 I learned to play it too, i think its right!

  • @JRhoades1919

    That is the official way.

  • @JRhoades1919 i play that tab but on the low e to get it sound deeper, n then play that but as a power chord, n then play the power chords on the a, that way it sounds pretty good, i admit thats not the official way, i just played around with the riff :)

  • @JRhoades1919 thanks dude that helped :)

  • both the same really i think that this one is

  • @JRhoades1919 Both are good, I play it that way, this way, and you can use that way and make power chords and it sounds a bit higher. so...yeah

  • @JRhoades1919 I play in drop D live, so I have to play it on the a string like that lol!

  • @JRhoades1919 same here it is easier but this way sounds better

  • @JRhoades1919 your way is right is you what the movie it might get loud jack white demostrates it :)

  • @JRhoades1919 Jack White plays the song on an Open A tuning. Check out the movie "It Might Get Loud" He plays the song with Jimmy Page and The Edge from U2. They jam together.

  • @JRhoades1919

    that way

  • @JRhoades1919 Basically , there are the same notes on 2 different chords => either way,it is the same ,so there is no "official way".

  • @JRhoades1919 I play it the way you just said, using octaves.

  • @JRhoades1919 yes that's how jack play's

  • @JRhoades1919 there is no official way, there something called octives, he is a lower string play lower on the frets, your way is higher string higher on the neck. but the are both the same chords

  • @JRhoades1919 your way is correct

  • @JRhoades1919 you're way Jack White plays like that too.

  • @JRhoades1919 jack white actually plays it on the e string with a digitech whammy to drop it down an octave i think

  • @JRhoades1919 Usually base plays that :D

  • @JRhoades1919 what you have learn is the bass line :)

  • Comment removed

  • @JRhoades1919 i do it your way because i think it sounds better with the power chords

  • @JRhoades1919 they're the same notes in the same octave just played on different strings. So it doesn't really matter

  • @JRhoades1919 Your way but instead of playing the tenth fret you could use 5th fret d string

    you may find it easier

  • @JRhoades1919 its the exactly the same notes marty is playing. official ways are usually plain and simple learning where the notes on your fingerboard are really good for mixing up songs and playing them in different places makes it sound more interesting, this vid should help :)

  • @JRhoades1919

    yours

  • @JRhoades1919 That is how Jack White plays it. He uses an octave pedal to make the tuning go an octave lower.
