we went 2 weeks ago! he doesn't appear at dinner times, only lunch. we went at dinner (6pm-8pm) and he wasn't there-then another day at about 1pm and he was there!!really really clever

@TheRussia101 Yes he is still there. however, seeing him is like seeing the talking trash can. he comes out at certain times, but only for those dining in the restaurant. it is quite amazing though and really fun to watch. The restaurant is amazing, with great service and food (order the Ratatouille, its great!!)

This is going to sound stupid, but why not just have a guy with a hand puppet do the rat? There's plenty of room in the box on the cart. It would have been more articulated, much more interactive, and more reliable.

I guess WDI had a couple million dollars lying around that they weren't using.

I'm so glad they always have the waiters supervising the little girl, from what I've seen at Chuck E Cheese, a lot of little kids have destructive streaks and parents won't do anything about them.

You're right, but if you remember the film humans couldn't hear him speak.  We just hear him sqeaking like any other rat.

@ThePaulArndt Its the same effect in Madagascar, you see Alex on the phone talking english, but the operators hear him growling. In short, human-to-animal communication never works out.
