I would like to point out a few things wrong in your video. One, the last two winters, not this one, were below average as far as temperatures. Two, we've have been below average on precipitation for the past few months. Three, I wouldn't go by Central Parks standards for climate here on Long Island. You should have used Long Island Mac Arthur's climate data because the city is colder than us during the winter. I know a lot about LI's climate, just ask me because you're mistaken a lot of things.
I kinda feel sorry for the future generation & my children but oh well, not my fault. The big man squishes the little one, our word don't mean jack to those clowns running congress and media. What's the point? Let humanity destroy themselves, maybe 2012 will be the year big businesses significantly become unstable, they have been corrupted for years. Ron Paul has warned us all about this, I know he doesn't support GW the way you do but military spending and wars contribute a LOT to climate chang
In Northeast Mass, it has been above average winter in temps, and my area has only received less than 10 inches of snow which is not normal. My area usually average 40 inches of snow during the winter. Hopefully the pattern will change later in the winter and bring snow and cold for my area.
Also, I should note that in Duluth, we normally have highs in the teens in January, and nights well below zero are not uncommon...but we have not seen much of that this year at all.
@giggleblaggle Its because the cold air is basically being cut off from the entire U.S. by the strong PAC jet. The cold air is confined to Canada, Alaska, and the other side of the Globe. I guess we can look forward to more Pine Borer Beetle damage in forests all across the U.S., particularly the north. The Zonal Flow is the worst for winter lovers like me. And because of Global Warming, it's becoming the norm.
In Duluth, MN, we also have had a very warm and dry winter. Normally we would have at least a foot and a half of snow on the ground, but we have about 5 inches and are constantly getting above freezing days. A couple weeks ago, we had near 50 degree days here, and in Southern MN, it topped 60 degrees in the first week of January, which according to climate history, has never ever happened before. I am bummed at the lack of snow, to say the least.
@PinePowerLI I like my hot and humid summers, but I also like my snow during the winter. In July of 2011, my digital thermometer weather station in my backyard logged a temperature of 117 degrees Fahrenheit. The cause of this warm winter is La Nina.
Nice video. I to live in Nassau County and I agree that it has been unusally warm this 2011-2012 winter season. Even though it snowed this past Saturday January 21, 2012 it was gone by Monday afternoon cause it was 50 degrees or high 40s almost 50 and Mondays rain helped melt the snow.

@videogamefan91 Yup, of course. The 120fps on the 300HS will come in real useful

I really hope Long Island DOES NOT get hit with a freak blizzard in March close to spring.

@videogamefan91 You know that's what gonna happen. You know the drill, warm winters, dreary springs, and non stop humid summers.
