  • put MVBRUMBYBRAT into a search engine and it will come up with our forum for the Subaru pickup :-)

  • That Brat is probably the in the best shape of any in existence.

  • I loved these when i was a kid and i never see them anymore

  • @mzondi1970 they are worth a fair amount nowa days

  • looks like an awesome play ground there.

  • these things are great when you put a glasspackers cherrybomb muffler on them

  • thaTS NOT a subaru....sounds like a v8...needs a sti swap or something, not a v8....I hate when suby's lose there lil flat 4's

  • That's a really nice Brat. Really nice.

  • that thing is fucking cool! i love the lift :)

  • You don't even need swampers to literally go EVERYWHERE in a Brat. Them things are super light and agile even in stock form.

  • my wrx MIGHT be able to do that .

  • @12valvepower1 I have had Legacies with no lifts on them.. they will go anywhere.. hill climbing snow sand rain or ice. The only thing that will slow it down is if it gets caught up and high sided. I only ever got ONE stuck in dirt.. and that was in a giant mud pit i made in my back lawn one spring. All four springs were COMPLETELY decompressed =D and the whole body was on the ground. its fun to try to get them that stuck

  • I need to lift my '79 Brat! So damn cool!

  • im thinking of getting one, a guy is selling it in my city, and i think most of you like it lol so ill get it! and its only 300$!

  • omg where did u find one of those :O

  • I'm buying my third Brat this weekend. These are THE best!

  • Duuuude! omg....clean! :D...

Subaru is the best i swear...lol

  • Awesome Subaru :D i got one too but here in finland their called Subaru Targa :) Where did you find rims to your brat? its cuite impossible to find them :P

  • It isn't impossible at all... find some 6 stud rims for a pajero or a chevrolet blezer. And drill 2 extra holes. Then you have perfect alignment and everything.

  • @subybrat I hope you could answer me. Can you send me a pic of yours rims and how and were did you drill 2 extra holes? :)

  • sickest brat ive ever seen lol

  • hey i was wondering what size tires you have

  • its a superswamper tsl/sx 29x10.50-15

  • love the exhaust burble! I am srsly gonna build me an early subie wagon someday.

    cool shit man!!

  • yeah they are great cars , get em before their all gone.

  • Very nice. My pops recently traded me my old GTO for a 78 brat. First thing I thought of of lifting it...thats how i found this video. with the lift and bigger wheels, how much fabrication did you have to do?

  • Not much since I bought the kit.. the major fab thing I had to to was to lengthen the steering shaft a few inches. also trim the fenders to fit the bigger wheels

  • is the motor stock or a swap?

  • Stock motor. next time I'll be swapping it in for a ej22

  • i had a brat with 450k miles that i used for a woods buggy. the seats fell through the floor! lol good times.

  • dang i love these things

  • not as tall as my stock cherokee

  • Well If you say so... :P

  • hey whats up, nice brat i got a 79 subaru brat. hey how do u lift the rear of the brat

  • 6" blocks in the rear subframe + 6" lowering plate on the rear diff + you also need 6" longer shocks in the rear (or weld some metall to your old ones)

  • cool thanks.i am goin to put a 3in lift on my 79 brat, what would be the best tire size for it without cutting anything. also how would i lift the front?

  • Love Subarus. especially the brat. If you want to take the off road to the next step you can make it anphibious. It's esier to to with the brat because it is so simple. and tough.

  • hehe :P I've been thinking about this (strap a few oil barrels around it) but I think I'll rather drive it on the ground

  • True. And by ground I hope you mean mud dirt sand and snow.

  • How does the gears and driving cope with the bigger wheel?. Go two brats myself and was thing of lifting the body up so am interested to know.

    Cheers.

  • The gearing obiously is affected but in general it doesn't hurt it's drivebilety offroad as you do have the low gearing onroad whitout the low gearing engaged it's easyer to stall when starting in hills etc. I wouldn't go for tyres bigger than 29" as the uphill performance onroad and offroad will suffer.

  • tuff as :D

  • How did you lift it with the unibody and IS?

  • Lift blocks on all 4 corners plus a lowering block on the rear diff. The lift it purcased from sjrlift (can't post adress)
