  • i want to thank all who served in the military for you're time and service so THANK YOU ALL

  • I was in the 82nd and still have my original jump wings. I can still remember my first training jump over Alabama! One of my greatest accomplishments was just getting through to finally get my jump wings and be a paratrooper!

  • WWII parajumpers= most badass motherfuckers on the face of this planet!

  • Hey sherylmckenzie, you go Girl!

    HoooYaaa You do girl....

glory glory what a hell of a way to die

and i aint gonna jump no more

  • I am the neice of a Golden Knight with 2 tuors in Nam and I am so proud of him. He will tell you there is no such thing as a perfectly good airplane. GO ARMY, AIRBOURNE ALL THE WAY!!

  • This is a great song and tomorrow is veterans day let us show our warriors the respect that they richly deserve.

  • When I was 19 I thought this funny and enjoyed singing it. Now that I am looking 60 in the face; it is not not so funny. Thank you to all of you who protect and defend.

  • Best Airborne song iv heard, Proud to have been a Part of the Parachute Regiment....Airborne forever.

  • You quickly learn there is not such thing as a "Perfectly good airplane!"

  • Man, when I was at Beening in '84 they played this, Silver Wings, Ballad of the Green Berets and Jump (by Van Halen of all things) in a never ending loop. I guess the PsyOps guys were earning their pay.

  • *** "Glory, Glory, what a helluva way to die" ***

  • Screw airborne Marine Core is were it's at

  • @copout211 You're right, the Marine Core is frakkin' cool!

Then again, the Marine Corps is okay too.

    :-)

  • @copout211 your so god damn ignorant i have a deep respect for the marines but dont act like a kid thinking one branch is better cuz all branches have had there share of blood shed

  • @copout211 you mean corps..... and no not screw airborne, screw you, you disrespectful little asshole, do you even have any military experience what so ever or are you just a little kid that played a medal of honor or cod game and thinks he know shit about what its like to be a soldier, shut the fuck up about shit you know nothing about

  • @copout211

you truly picked the wrong place to make silly comments like this.

  • I hope the air force cures people who hate heights by throwing your sorry ass out of a plane because that's funny to see

  • @copout211 Id like to see you say this to the face of Maj. Richard Winters if he were still alive. Dont be disrespectful, dont you understand the sacrifices made, some died so young as 17, they never got to experience a full life, its unfortunate how ignorant some people can be such as yourself.

  • totally fucked up to even show this kind of shit

  • my father did it with the 82nd for 10 years.

  • u have to be one helluva bad ass to tryout to be an Airborne Ranger

  • Airborne!

  • After the wars are over, we´ve to fight each other let me give you the respect from paratrooper to paratrooper. I´d wish it would give a movie like "Band of brothers" about the "Red Devils" of the Brits and the "Grüne Teufel" of the Germans. We are paratroopers and we´ve got the "band of brothers"! I´ll leave with the german paratroopers call. "Glück ab!" ;o)

  • @Makolki go red evils go screaming eagles go all americans go every airborne unit out there

  • I was a cadet in the Russian Airborne, but i love this song

  • Holy Shit, I hope the Air Force gets my fear of heights out of me and throws my ass out of a plane to do it.

  • @SPArtan117ANDi

i am airborne and i have 20 something jumps under my belt and i'm still as afraid of heights as i ever was. i don't think it's something that will go away, but you sure will learn how to deal with it.

  • Prints of the 173rd's combat jump into Iraq now available. Contact kingfatcrayon@gmail for preview.

  • god bless them all!

  • 101st shut ur fucking mouths u guys dont jump any more

  • Too bad my grand father died in 97. I miss him cause I would have liked to show him the movie "band of brothers". He sure would have cried all the way to the end. But one thing remains: Canada was there in normandy BEFORE the american. I Know cause canadian regiments killed more germans the the americans. They arrived near the end and claimed all the fucking glory. My grand father went to an american officer to protest and got put to arrest.

  • @brossmart Uhmm when did the canadians arraive before the U.S.?

  • @MrSuperKandy I'm not sure what was the exact date but they were fighting the germans way before the us. I think hey decided to join the war after Pearl Harbour, if my memory is good. I must someday view a history movie about the real exploits of the canadians. And the americans knows it very well. Althought they were massacred in Hiwo Jima, they won over Japan by attrition the enemy...

  • @brossmart You never said the war you said normandy which is false because the us army paratroopers arrived before any canadian washed ashore on the beaches and our marines kicked ass on iwo inflicting far more casualties on the japanese so u need to brush up on your history sir before you go making false accusations

  • @MrSuperKandy I reported what was told to me man, I never accused anybody of anything. All I know is that My grand father and his fellow soldiers were aready in normandy and they were fighting the germans behind the beach before the invasion. That doesn't the some american soldiers were not there as well. If only I could find the info somewhere on the net. Let me tell you, I gave him a lead gun to shoot on cans and he was shaking, I can't even imagine what he endured there. Was not fun at all.

  • @brossmart I have no idea what you just said

  • @MrSuperKandy As sson as Britain declared war

  • @Dony2392 yeah i know but he said they arrived at normandy before the americans which they didnt

  • Who ever gave this a thumbs down is NOT combat arms or washed out of airborne school or is a college kid.

    AIRBORNE ALL THE WAY!

    HOOAH!

  • AIRBORNE ALL THE WAY!!!!!!! 82nd Airborne Division (82nd Personnel Services Company - August 1990 to August 1991, and 82nd Signal Batallion - August 1991 to November 1991), and 112th Signal Battalion (Special Operations) (Airborne) (January 1993 to November 1993).

Let this song forever be a tribute to the brave men and women who are called...PARATROOPERS!!!!!!! Keep those feet and knees together. AIRBORNE ALL THE WAY!!!!!

  • FOGORE!!!

  • Hort ihr unser Schritt,

    Fallschrimjager, Waffentrager.....

Airbone are pussy against the Reich!

  • @KFSSGamersHardCore then why did they beat you?

  • @winn21 They didn't. The made in China style parachute broke up.

  • @KFSSGamersHardCore I seem to remember that we allready kicked that ass.

  • @KFSSGamersHardCore Then why did your reich go running and end up completely crushed as the 101st pushed through and won 90% of the battles?

  • 5 people are nazis

  • Great song!

  • WHAT A HELLUVA WAY TO DIE

  • @mpfive1 They do not pick the Orders that they follow, the orders come from the CO of the Regiment and or The CDS, JTF2 is a counter terrorism unit, responsible for protecting the lives of Canadians and Other Countries civilians, no matter the cost, If you dont stand behind our soldiers please feel free to stand in front of them....

    ASSHOLE

  • @holylama11 If you dont stand behind our soldiers, please feel free to stand in front of them!" Thats such an epic quote. I will remember those words.

  • @holylama11 But Canada's a safe country, they don't lock there doors... It's like a nice America... Also working by that logic doesn't it just mean that the COs don't like brown people, let's face it name one group of people the US have have bombed that weren't black or brown, only the Nazis and that's cuz they were cutting in on their action

  • @mpfive1 There's no way you can know what the JTF2 does unless you are in them. And if you were in them you wouldn't be talking about what they do. Quit talking out of your ass. Have some facts to back up your statement before you pass judgement.

  • @mpfive1 They weren't "re badged you dumb ass, and the Somalia Affair was an isolated incident and the then government decided it was best to dis band the Regiment. Learn the proper facts before commenting. My cousin served in the Canadian Airborne Regiment and he sure as fuck is not someone who like who you describe.

  • @mpfive1 Nigga you dumb hahahahahahahahahahhahahahahahahahahahaha

  • I'll never forget the first day of airborne training. We were marched and formed up in front of the "white house", left standing at the position of Attention. Then the music started...over the loud speakers. We had over 20 students terminate just because of this song. I thought it was funny as hell...until a "Black Hat" got in my face and dropped me for 100 pushups for laughting. I did my best to stop laughting. The "black hat" gave me a wink, some verbal abuse, and told me to recover.

  • thx uploader. This brings back airborne school memories. (The devils in black hats lol)And to you other tards who never put on a pair of jump boots stfu you know nothing. Any paratropper from any country is some of the best of the best they have. Because the puropse of the paratropper is to jump in the middle and bring the ruckus. You have to be a different kind of person to voulnteer for that.

  • @justcallmeSmith very well said.

  • It's all BS because it is HISTORY!!!! I was a paratrooper and Green Beret.

  • This Video clearly states " R.I.P. To all those paratroopers who gaves their lives from WW2 to present" " This is a tribute"

Bringing up shit like 'such and so people are nazis' and 'we won so i'm right' is a discrace to the dead and should be stopped now, it's the same as spitting on a grave or pissing on a memorial.

Jesus christ i think some people need a taste of real war...

  • I can't staighten my left arm and I walk with limp. I am a proud paratrooper and will regret being one of America's Guard of Honor!

  • RIP

  • @skyofrog We got some payback for ya. "Thumper 6 Heavy"

  • jesus christ, germany and america are allies now bitch about something else

  • the american unit that captured Carentan was less than battlalion strength, so ur nazi propaganda is not working here.

  • @berhorst59 German troops aren't nazi's anymore fuckwad

  • @Infantry506th Neither were most of them in the war actually. They were drafted, just like the americans. It kinna just was one douchbag and some of his friends..

  • @Errelsoft Indeed, What I don't understand is that they are being tried for war crimes for something they either had to do, or died

  • the 101st and 82nd jumped early am 6 june 1944, carentan fell 8 june 44, that is not 3 months, even in old mathematics. the airborne did not jump at monte cassino, and the only reason the battle was so prolonged was because DDE would not let artillery and air attacks hit monte cassino until it was the only recourse, because the Allies refused to attack or hide in religious, sacred or holy positions, unlike the wehrmacht, who routinely did just that

  • What the ladyes love's the most

    AIRBORNE!

who do the nazi fear the most

    AIRBORNE!

who do the military trust the most

    AIRBORNE!

Who does the Army trust the most?

    AIRBORNE!

Who do the ladies love the most?

    AIRBORNE!

Who do the nazis fear the most?

    AIRBORNE!

  • @BlackListKing1992

Nazis? You aren't not really in a war, right? I'm a german Paratrooper. I have a big respect for all american soldiers, but in the world war II the german paratroopers are the hardest soldiers. The 6. Falljägerregiment hold Carentan in the normandy a full month. 3 american Divisions must need to capture the city. I only must say Monte Cassino.

  • @Stormghost You are 100% correct about the German Paratroopers. Monte Cassino was an amazing feat of bravery, the kind that only a Paratrooper can perform. And this compliment is coming straight from the mouth of a Red Devil straight out of the 82D Airborne Division.

  • @1504RedDevil With respect sir, the Red Devils were the British Paratroopers, and the 82nd Airborne Division the American Paratroopers. It's kinda hard to be both.

  • @iddoomer The Red Devils also refer to the 1-504th Infantry Regiment 1st Brigade, 82nd Airborne Division (the 2-504th being the White Devils and the 3-504th, which is now the 1-508th of 4th Brigade being the Blue Devils.) The 504th aquired the nickname "Devils in Baggy Pants" from an exerpt in a joural belonging to a German officer that was found during the Sicilian Campaign, an example of how demoralizing the prowess of the 504th was to the Axis powers there.

  • @iddoomer The other battalions in 1st Brigade include the 3-319th Gun Devils (Artillery) and the 307th Black Devils (Support).

  • @TheCharliebro either way you wish to define us, we'r all "DEVELS" thats why we have put GOD incharge of sorting it out when we depart>

  • @Stormghost yeah but the germans held the town and the americans had to attack so obviously the germans had a major advantage

  • @Stormghost sorry but bostogne and the battle of the bulge were fought by Easy company of the 101st airborne. THEY were the hardest soldiers not the panzy ass germans who murdered more jews who had no defense. get your facts right buddy or just shut the fuck up

  • @jerseyjackalMMA Regular German soldiers didn't murder jews. It can't be said who the hardest soldiers were but I can assure you there were plenty of hard German soldiers in WW2 and it's wrong to call any man who will put himself between wars desolation and his family, a pansy. I respect German veterans of WW2 just as much as Allied ones and I think you should too.

  • @mrrobotica i don't respect ANYONE who can stand for the deaths of hundreds of innocent people... sorry but i don't respect evil... i don't think you should either

  • @jerseyjackalMMA You should look up the Nazi Field Marshal Rommel. He was a great man who fought for his country. Whether your country has committed evil or not, the noblest fate that a man can endure is to place his own mortal body between his home and war's desolation.

  • @jerseyjackalMMA You do realize that many Germans didn't know about what was being done to the Jews, right? And the ones that did stand up against the Nazi government because of what was happening were killed. Also it wasn't hundreds, it was millions.

  • @Stormghost Dies gilt lebe Deutschland! Das Vaterland

  • @Stormghost My dad was an american paratrooper. He went to Germany and he said he enjoyed very much.

  • @Stormghost well done for telling him lol

  • @Stormghost We're all in NATO now. I respect all.

  • @EddieBrockVenom

    FUCK NATO

  • @Stormghost ...to bad they were all crazy motherfuckers, eh?

  • @Stormghost Wasn't that a strategy in Carentan so the Germans were trapped...

  • @Stormghost You need to take another look at Carentan. Most of the Germans had left Carentan by the time it was attacked and captured by the 101st Airborne. A couple of days later the Germans tried to retake it when their tank units came up from the south. That attack failed when the 4th Armored Division linked up with the 101st just outside of Carentan. The Germans did not attack Carentan again for fear of being cut off by other units that were advancing from Utah and Omaha beaches.

  • @Stormghost Are you really a paratrooper? and also the 101st airborne stayed in bastogne for over a month against any army with little too no supplies or food.

  • @Stormghost i have to agree, im british but i still love the americans and german airborn both. nether are better americans won cuz they did.

  • @Stormghost F-U u germin

  • @zik2500 have a little respect he may be german but i doubt he cares what the hell you say you arogant piece of shit i doubt you even have the balls to go through basic and then jump training

  • @Stormghost that ryhme is a ryhme that the american paratroopers of ww2 used....it is not a direct bash at germans in general.....

it was merely a moral booster

  • @Stormghost your a shit head, the almighty fallshirpmfjegers fell to the 101st airborne division 506th regiment, and got their ass kicked by them all the way back to germany. couldnt match up to fellow airborne soldiers.

  • @Stormghost

hey bud. he meant no harm or disrespect; it is a line from the video game Medal of Honor: Airborne, a WWII FPS. in WWII, thats just how the Americans viewed hte Nazis

  • @Stormghost learn english buddy

  • @Stormghost he is only quoting a game, Medal of Honour Airborne, I'm sure he doesn't mean it.

  • @Stormghost you are right about the german paratrooper of ww2. but if you read the journels of guys like Rommel and Guderian you would see that the only american troops they had any respect for, or feared, was the airborne troops...

  • @Stormghost I am an American paratrooper and why are you responding to that we (you and I) are paratroopers period we don't respond to such things.

  • @Stormghost It wasn't three divisions, it was three companies. Carentan was a strategic choke point for the beaches at Normandy, specifically Omaha beach. The germans wanted it to stay in their hands at all costs. Didn't work to well, though.

  • @Stormghost

Airborne is Airborne, whatever the country!

  • @Stormghost I served in the 82nd Airborne and I had the privilege of training and jumping with the Fallshirmjager unit and earning German jump wings while they earned American wings....They were HardCore and excellent Paratroopers....

  • @BlackListKing1992 i agree they do!!! 82nd AIRBORNE kick asz

  • @BlackListKing1992 air born rangers hua (heard understood acnoleged)

  • Comment removed

  • @BlackListKing1992 some people need to get rid of that "we" thing. the americans of today still consider themselves like "we liberated europe in WWII" and thats fine. but I does not mean that german people are still like "we are the nazis" get over it guys. its not our generations that started the war

  • @BlackListKing1992 i think the 101st airborne was in iraq and is in Afghanistan, but they arn't actually paratrooping and stuff, just helping the 3rd ID with stuff on the ground

  • @BlackListKing1992 its from medal of honor: airborne isint it ?:D

  • AIRBORNE!!! ALL THE WAY!!!

  • CURRAHEE!!!!!! Love this song!

  • these guys on 1:34 are rangers not airborne !

  • ok god!!!! u were right lol i wasn't going to give up but ive literally gotten atleast 30 comments i givwe up!!!

  • CURRAHEE!!

  • they wer Rangers in saving private ryan

  • whats with the 5th ranger meds? only the 1/2/4 rangers parachuted in wwII

  • I remember being like 3 yrs old when my old man played me this record!! I always thought it was glory glory lol. Wrong! The lyrics are as badass as everyone else who was in the 82nd! Thanks to all of you badass AA'S AIRBORNE!!!

  • It is Gory, Gory (parody) SFC Gurney USA ABN Ret.

  • Hooah AIRBORNE!!!

  • They were rangers but now days rangers are airborne. The airborne ranger was not established until 1951, after WWII which was the period saving private ryan was set in.

  • @HaloStroudsburgBoy

    You're so wrong.

It is Gory Gory what a helluva way to die.

You're confusing it with the Hymn of the Republick were it is Glory Glory Halleluja.

That song was used during the American Civil war, Blood on the Risers an American Paratroopers song.

Blood on the Risers is based on the music from Hymn of the Republik.

  • gory,gory,what a hell of a way to die

  • R.I.P. Gory Gory What A Helluva Way To Die...

  • Gosh I LOVE this song!!!!! HHC 1/504 PIR Earthpig for life!

  • Death from Above. Way to go 101st Airborne.

  • EASY COMPANY

  • Are there Canadian paratroopers today?

  • Not anymore sadly. I dont know the full details on how or why they were disbanded though. All I really know is they were just as well trained and equiped as our paratroopers.

  • Damn

  • Yeah, there were. They had a reputation for being really tough. Unfortunately they were on some peacekeeping mission somewhere in Africa and some kid snuck into the base to steal some food. A few guys caught him and he ended up getting beaten to death. There was a huge uproar about it, and because of some (possibly drunk) assholes, the Canadian government disbanded them.

  • i have Canadian jump wings it is a shame if they really are disbanded what a great bunch of guy's

  • @hannes1813 Ruin our fun eh?

  • Damned politicians, don't realize how they are endangering their country.

  • @hannes1813 That's rediculous! When Patton slaped his soldier they didn't disband the Army did they? And because of a few soldiers they disband an entire divison? That's insane!

  • @SolidSnake09999 Well, it was more because of the public outcry. I mean, how d'you suppose the civilian population back home saw it; front page news that some soldiers who were supposedly representing the "elite" beat a kid to death? The public can usually get what it wants. I mean, we ALL know how a few bad eggs can spoil it for everyone, look at Nam, same thing but on a much larger scale. Most were just doing their jobs, but you get the Gung-Ho lil' shits and that's what feeds the protesters.

  • Im leaving for Fort Benning Georgia for Basic on FEB 23rd. And in all truth, this video or song strikes no fear. For the fact, every soldier knows whats on the line. And I know full well. But jumping for the first time will not only be and honor but a privilege. Great video! Cant wait to go!

Wish me Luck! - Pvt. Patrick J Naves AKA Kero the Deviant Fox

  • @kerokitsune Well you go and crush em without mercy, dig em out of those hills and kill em all with utter contempt for their lives. Keep your powder dry, your sights black, and your steel sharp and don't be the bitch that rats out your seniors when they haze you. Your in their killing business now.

  • Trust me man, once you get in songs like this won't strike you with any kind of feeling lmfao. You'll just listen to them to memorize them, this is in fact a cadence we call.

  • Good Luck, School of Infantry and Georgia Pines all around. Make sure u know how 2 dig a ranger grave, cause u r gonna be doing a lot of those.

  • shut the fuck up you havent even experianced it yet!
