A few nights ago I watched my 13 year old son throw a straight kick against this bag and snap the flexible collar in half.

The flexible collar is the weakest part of the bag but since you can't get replacement parts the whole thing is now garbage.

Just a tip, but the higher you ahve the abg the better of a workout it is. For example punching up more gives your arms the struggle of keeping up. punching down like that is jsut using gravity to let your arms drop.

Free standing bags are good but you wont get the same resistance as a heavy. But you can get a hell of a workout and it has forces your to bob and weave a little more. Just remember to keep the bag more on the end of your puches.

The Heavy Bags are far better. These free-standing heavy bags are for kids in the 4 year to 9 year bracket. This tool does not work for serious Boxing.

Nothing wrong with standing bags. If u don't have the means to hang a heavy bag u still have to hit something. And aside from the swaying of a hanging bag there's not much difference. Hitting a hanging bag won't make u a better fighter.

I thought the same thing, but this was better for me then my 100 lb heavy bag because it gives you the same amount of muscles as a heavy bag, and close to the speed of a fast bag, plus it's fun xD! You should try it out because people are dissing it even though it's fun and a great workout, and thats comming from me who could basically send 100 l bags flying into orbit. alright, well how about this. I AM a trainer. I've been boxing for 13 years. I had a 13-5 ametuer record, and unfortunatly had to retire early from any possabillity of going to the olympics because of a problem with my wrists, so I opened up a school. I've had my school for 4 years, and have trained multiple people that I have taken around north america, and once to Europe, for competitions. I was looking into getting these bags for my school, but the heavy bags are much better.

I agree with you now because i bought a freestanding bag at dicks sporting goods 2 days ago, and i basically pulverised it today, and the whole plastic part shattered, so i'm gunna return it, but it was fun while it lasted. I think i'll just stick to traditional heavy bags that i usually use xD! So you were right, and i was wrong, but it did seem sturdy and good at the time lol!

This is one of the worst boxing equipment in the market. I agree that is more suitable for speed training. However,if you fill it with water,it will leak.. Something else,the screws always,always get loose. I don't recommend it for serious training.

Dude, this is actually doing more for me then my 100 lb heavy bag did, your right that it's mostly speed, but the strengthening works just the same as a heavy bag, since i have gotten this, i have won boxing fights much more easily then other ones because it's like fighting a person cuz of the movement xD! And it is serious because...i'm a serious boxer, i'm planning on doing it out of collage proffesionally, and i have never had a problem with it.

Also, take everything out of the base when you buy it. You will need all that foam to insert in the bag for a cushion. Fill up until 2 inches from top. When you insert the top into the base make sure the plastic "nipples" are lined up with the slops. Pretty good for the money but am getting a heavy bag this week. Hope this helps. Also get good bag gloves, about $50.00 bucks (Everlast 8oz with wrist support) hope this helps. Very good cardio workout by the way

I have one. Takes about an hour to assemble. Cost $99 at Modells. it is good for a workout but it does slide on the ground. There is an extra piece of rubber, place the base on top of that then fill with water.

No it wont tip over but the support will snap if your punching or kicking it hard, and also don't put water in there because when you hit it it will move around and the water will start leaking because the screws are gonna get loose, so i prefer sand in this....... Buy a heavy bag!!!!!

I have the Weightmaster, it´s ajustable (7 positions) to 1,75m (5,11f), but you can also lower it down to train lowkicks. I filled it with sand, and now it weights about 135 kg (265 pound)So you can use it for heavy workout.
