The difference between Horford and Durant is this: Although he was robbed of that award, he didn't need it in reality because he and the Hawks knew already that he was rookie of the year. Some players need an award to prove it to themselves......others don't.

I have watched all but maybe 6 of Al's games this year, and you really can't just look at the numbers. He has great numbers for a rookie, don't get me wrong, especially when he is far from featured in the team's offense. But what sets Al apart is the little things he does. Like playing great defense all year while at the same time playing out of position. He sets solid screens, plays with fire, and there is no doubt that HE is the reason the Hawks are on the brink of the playoffs. Al for ROY!

The first half of the year, he seemed pretty average, considering his poor shot selection, but the second half his fg% has gone way up. When teams play Seattle the opposing defenses zone in on Durant because he's the only scoring threat.

kevin durant just poured in 37 points and almost had a triple double, forced two overtimes with three balls and won the game with free throws. This against a denver team thats fighting for their playoff lives. He out played freaking carmello anthony. This race is over. KD is playing 2 well and getting much much better late in the season. Rookie of the year has never had anything to do with winning...it goes to the player who scores the most and this year its no contest. Kiss it goodbye tonite!

This is a nice video, just the wrong player. See above comments. Durant shot 53% for March (16 games) better than Lebron, T-mac, Kobe, etc. while scoring 22 a game, better than Horfords 11 or 12. I have not seen horford have any games like this, or any other 30 pt games.
