I've seen chongqing for myself as recent as last month and man, its SMOGGY and very polluted. And nobody cares who you are when they pull into your lane.. :D

Yeah, all construction sites are. I was in Shanghai in 96, and it was even worse, but today it is so much better (on par with NYC and Chicago)... Still, Chongqing does look a heck lot better than our great metropolis by the name of Detroit.
