I know some people here are upset at the kill bill vs zatoichi comparisons happening here,i agree that you should'nt compare the two,but to say kill bill is shit!,well thats just going too far.Kill bill was good & was meant to be silly and over the top because it is paying homage to old kung fu movies & noir comic books(hence all the flying & blood).The only things the two films have in common is the fact they both contain samurai swords.Two very good movies in two very different ways.

Why are people comparing Zatoichi to Kill Bill. They both have swords? I haven't seen this all new zatoichi, but the original movies (except the 1989 movie) put almost every western hero/action flick to shame. Some of the best movies ever made.

Zatoichi could run circles around Kill Bill. if you have I.O televison theres a Kung Fu channel, 776. 24-7 365 Kung Fu movies, no comercials, unedtied straigh for China and Japan. Zatoichi movies are a common sight on that channel.

Oh goodness, Tarantino is like instant Ramen noodles when compared to Kitano and Park films. It truly makes his films look amateurish and juvenile. Jarmusch is another issue all together, he also provides a lot of material for QT, who then proceeds to make something lesser out of it.
