  • could i overclock. i have an amd phenom ii x6 running at 2.7 ghz. it said it supported it up to 3.2 but i want to go higher. it runs at 32 degrees.

  • @l4dxpert1 u could just be carful

  • hi

is overclocking really that easy. what are all these over volts etc people talk about.

    kind regards

  • @hikinguphigh when you get more then 500mhz you should think about doing the Volts and stuff for a clean power flow but if you run a AMD the fusion software can auto set all that its bad ass im making a video on it today

  • @stevenlafrance awsome i shall watch it

  • 2 Questions :) 1: is a can of pringles reccomended? And 2: whats the default speed for your CPU?

  • @FanBars 2.80ghz

  • @FanBars 3.3ghz and ?YES IT IS

  • @stevenlafrance New one

  • So in the beginning you started with 2 gigahertz. In the end you had how much?

  • @stevenlafrance I bought it at Best Buy last August, it's an HP Media smart pc p6111y.

  • @n64dudeman yea u cant overclock that sry

  • overclocking will work on any cpu,

    not recomended for beginers

in order to overclock you either increase the voltage to the cpu, rasing it by to much in one go can fry it

    or by increasing the multiplier

the problem is with heat and this voids your warenty and if you overclock they will no so you will lose your garrenty

so do at your own risk

  • I have a few questions,

    1. I have a Pentium Dual Core E5300, can it be overclocked (it is currently clocked a 2.6 gHz

    2. I have gone to my setup menu and I have seen all of the info i need to identify how fast is running and what kind of cpu it is, but I have found no option to overclock it, if you can assist me I would greatly appreciate it.

  • @n64dudeman is the computer per-build or a home made

  • thxs man

  • What does this do?

  • @Jerryocool this will make the CPU fast then stock so if you have a 1.0ghz and over clocked to 2.0ghz things will get done 2x faster

  • @stevenlafrance Can it damage the CPU??

  • @LOOTS243 yes it can if you don't have good cooling

  • @stevenlafrance kk thanks

  • @stevenlafrance dont give bad advice

some cpus overclock better than others and some will die when near the speed of some other peoples overclocks

look at tomshardware and you will see what i mean

  • @LOOTS243 yes

this can damage your cpu and it will void your warenty

  • @stevenlafrance

it dosnt work that well and some cpu's overclock better than others for example my old cpu

    E2160 core 2 duo (stock speed 1.8ghz)

could be overcloked to 3ghz on air

or 5ghz on water or ln2 cooling

if you do too hihg an overclock it can also make your computer unstable

you have to remember that you cant compare curent generation cpu's with older generations

    for example

a 3ghz pentium 2 is the same as a 2ghz core 2 duo and its the same with the core i series

  • @andrewpocock1 true but this is not good for intels the AMD cpus are really better at overclocking onless you own a P4 or a i 3 5 7 those i found good but when overclocking p3s and older there not really that great at it
