Honestly the IS350 is hardly the car for enthusiasts, who would go for a G37 or 335i from the very beginning (unless you're into automatics). The IS-F, while a good effort, is just so soulless. What I mean by that is that BMW M, MB AMG and Audi RS have racing heritage. This gives the car something special in a sense. You feel like you're buying a product that was engineered based on racing experience. Lexus freely admitted to dissecting an M3 in order to create the IS-F. Enough said.
Dude, a BMW M3 can eat the IS-F's dust! I never really cared for the IS, but when I test drove a 350, I fell in love and just had to get one. Took the IS-F for a spin, and all you can say is WOW! Lexus tops all!

As for depreciation, the lexus will retain only 50% of its value after 2 yrs, whereas the merc and BMW M3 will be closer to 65%. I know where the smart money lies.

Why are u comparing a $500k car to a Lexus's line-up? Lexus doesnt even have a model that competes with the SLR. so whats your point? In any case, when the Lexus LFA comes out next year, it will for sure smoke the SLR in every category and will cost about $150k

well those numbers arent even official. and I dont see the LF-A running 4.0 sec. If the GT-R runs 3.3 sec for $70k, Toyota has to make this $150k supercar perform at least on par with the GTR.

If you want the best 4-door hotshot then go for the merc c63amg - it beats the lexus hands down. I know this cos I've driven them both. The handling, ride and the chassis balance of the benz, not to mention its performance are all a class above the lexus. As for depreciation, the lexus will retain only 50% of its value after 2 yrs, whereas the merc and BMW M3 will be closer to 65%. I know where the smart money lies.
