@AC3XHD HE is already 31..he is going to be in team for another 5 years or so.Tendulkar started his career at the age of 16 and even after 21 yrs he is still no 1 in the world!!

He will never be able catch tendulkar!!

@karthik900 He is definitly not the best batsmen any more. He may be statisticly better. But is no where near the best. He doesn't play as well as he used to and take's to long to score runs and doesn't turn a match no it's head like he was known for at a young age. KP scored the most runs out of anyone except bradman, in the first 25 tests of his career, beating Tendulkar by over 750 runs.

@karthik900 Not entirely. You can't compare ANYONE to Bradman. But you can compare some other long playing and great players to him like Ponting and Lara. If Pietersen is able to get the form back that won him his place in the England squad and is fit enough to play for many years, he would become comparable to Tendulkar. In 5, 10 years time, he'll be comparable to Tendulkar but not just now

Considering all the facts my modern day best Test batsmen in order are (past 2 decades);

Sachin, Kallis, Lara, Ponting, Sangakkara, Inzamam, Sehwag, Jayawardena, Steve Waugh, Graem Smith, Yousuf, Dravid, Hayden, Laxman, AB Devilliars, Hussey, Chanderpal, Aravinda DeSilva, KP, Langer, Younis, Strauss, Boon, Gilchrist, Samaraweera... KP is in my top 20 batsmen in modern times... So he may fit into top 50 batsmen of all time with bit of luck...! Gud luck...!
