  • Tornado-powered lights anyone?

  • They are not freaking windmills!!! just saying. They are wind turbines, WE can SEE that the tornado has hit the Wind TURBINE. We dont need you to tell us. I understand that a tornado is exciting, but i think you may be over reacting...

  • tornadoFEAST :3 eat up

  • 1.20 to 1.37 was awesome how you could see the multiple vortexes without any debris in it.

  • @krazedgunner try opening your fuckin eyes dude

  • @iamcyberpunk68 just as i said, at 1.20 to 1.37 you can see the multiple vortices without any debris in it, just the moisture. you're name does you justice douchebag troll. try to know a little something about a tornado instead of your lame rc collection

  • @krazedgunner go away , you bother me shit stain, find a funnel and jump in.

  • i like the part with the tornados

  • I wonder why the windmill at 3:31 on the far left stops rotating, even before the tornado seems to hit it?

  • Like everyone else said...just be quiet and let us watch it for ourselves

  • Please work on the sound of your videos

  • And then some gigawatts were generated that day...

  • The video would've been better without the narriation. If you're recording with your camcorder, don't self narrate, it's stupid. Really? That's a Tornado? Oh, those are windmills? (they're actually Wind Turbines...). Cool video otherwise, just keep the volume down.

  • The windmill breaks worked great.

  • Fair few megawatts generated that day

  • 4:11

Man: Please help me im bleeding

Recorder: I can't im video taping dude.

    XDD

  • Great footage of this video.

  • No top comment? THIS IS MY CHANCE!

    BACCCCOOONNN!

  • BADASS WINDMILLS

  • im glad no one was hurt!!! just had a tornado yesterday night it was so scary!!! u should come to SC

  • beautiful but very dangerous at the same time one thing id love to do what these guys are doing

  • That is incredible how the windmills are still in one piece. Talk about awesome and invincible solar power.

  • @Mika20 solar power?

  • @SchrodingersPet Yeah sorry about that. Messed that comment up. Caught a cold so I'm not thinking straight. XD

  • @Mika20 lol its k

  • at 1:43 oh my god

  • Tornado Power hehe

  • Wow exciting!!

  • Man, I would love to see one in person :(

Granted they're dangerous and ruin a lot of lives.......but how often are you able to see something with such raw power?!

    They're destructively beautiful!

  • @Fourteen88SoCal yeah one good thing about someone like me living in kansas is that we're in rural areas. Granted, the joplin tornado went right over our house and the greensburg tornado in '08, but out in this area its mostly fields and cows

  • @tbarron95 that's scary! That Joplin tornado was no joke! Glad you're okay

  • dude thats awesome.. the way the twister went through the windmills and there was no damage to 'em :)

  • Great tornado

  • Brilliant footage!

  • 2011 Has been the most epical weather year I've ever experienced. Even out chasing this year I got some good shots, But I didn't see anything as good as this. Great job! See you in the elements!

  • Get some windshield washer fluid that has rain-x in it, so the water just beads off your windsheild. Better visibility and safer. I'm surprised a lot of storm chasers don't know this trick.

  • Truly awesome! Thank you for capturing the majesty of Mother Nature.

  • beautiful

  • the last tornado its a beautiful monster!

    great job guys!

  • I expected them windmills to come crashing down in peices...strong structures i say..

  • @KWEKOSHKUKI12

As someone who has seen many tornados and lived in western KS all my life I can tell you that in all likelyhood that tornado didn't actually hit one of those windmills. It looked to have passed in front of them to me.

  • @s4a3b2t1 I live south of u by maybe 100 or so miles in okla.... love the spring time..

  • if the tornado was an f5 i bet those blades would get ripped off and go flying threw the air...imagine seeing that come at you O.O

  • @girlstorm09 lol!!

  • Anyone have video with amatuer radio traffic on in background? Kb5LLI

  • Welcome to Oklahoma!

  • Comment removed

  • why are you not calling these in? just wondering

  • @iluvmyemok i would assume that they call them in before they start filming. i know that would be my first priority.

  • @qsdftfdsq I hope they did! I know when I watch the other videos you can hear the guys calling them in or am I thinking of the TV show on Discovery?

  • @iluvmyemok During one of the short clips around 1:25 you can hear one of our chase members doing a phone interview with a TV station in OKC. Also, there were numerous reports in the form of SpotterNetwork reports (made by us and other chasers), live streams from chasers, and even TV helicopters covering these tornadoes due to the high volume of chasers present and the publicity of the event. The Weather Service was very well apprised of what was happening.

  • @BasehuntersChasing - thank you!!!! I stand corrected....I did miss that. Great job you are doing out there. I was not trying to be critical or anything....I LOVE your videos! OK, now let me ask a really STUPID question. I live in an area where there are dirt tornadoes (dust devils). If they are disturbed they will often dissipate. Why couldn't something be dropped from above into a tornado to disturb the rotation?

  • @iluvmyemok We've played around with dust devils before. Went running through some in SW Texas. When you run through them, the vortex actually just keeps on going, they just reform on the ground downwind of where they are disturbed. Tornadoes, on the other hand are part of a massive process; the supercell t-storm. It can be 60,000+ ft tall. I can't think of anything humans can do to disturb that system... even for enough time to allow it to reform.

  • @BasehuntersChasing What if you dropped a remote control bomb in it? You can time fireworks that way, and building demos. Or more than one....do you think that would be enough to disrupt it and at least cause it some difficulty in reorganizing? Maybe a timed series of blasts. I think they are completely magnificent but when they are heading into neighborhoods and cities....it would be nice to say enough is enough, you know?

  • @iluvmyemok

Too much liability in a bomb that would be big enough to disrupt one and also too hard to get it inside the tornado. Tornados will often make a jog to the side for no apparent reason. Have you seen the problems these guys trying to get instruments inside a tornado have?

  • @s4a3b2t1

Ah yes, I have seen that. Ok here is another strange thought since we are on the subject....remember cloud seeding to cause rain? I don't know if that ever worked...but if it did, could that be done where there would be too much moisture for a tornado to happen??? Make it too heavy? Ha ha....I am probably SO WAY off on that.

  • @iluvmyemok Personally, I don't think humans have the capacity to do this, nor should we be messing with such things.

Clouds block heating/destabilization during the day to prevent storms from forming on otherwise favorable days for tornadoes. On tornado days, the atmosphere tends to clear out high clouds by drying out the mid-levels of the atmosphere. AM low clouds tend to burn off by the afternoon. Aerosols are already abundant near the surface, so seeding is probably irrelevant.

  • @iluvmyemok A bomb would probably do nothing but cause more damage at the surface. Maybe one of our biggest nukes would be capable of disrupting the storm environment. The storm is an engine pulling its fuel from the atmosphere. Look up supercell structure and you'll see descriptions of inflow features. These are the "gas lines," if you will. A tornado occurs where surface inflow meets the rear flank downdraft. A supercell wouldn't care about an explosion somewhere at the surface along its path.

  • @BasehuntersChasing

Thank you so much for the lesson! Keep up the good work :-) We love watching what you do. Heck I wish I was in the car WITH you guys! :-) stay safe and thanks again!

  • @iluvmyemok No problem, thanks!

  • @BasehuntersChasing hydrogen bomb would disrupt the air and moisture, causing it to literally explode, but then again, a hydrogen bomb is designed to be detonated several thousand feet in the air to cause massive damage, so our only solution is something that would vaporize people and give 3rd degree burns to those several miles away :(

  • holy moly!

  • Good job !!!

  • windmill part was awesome and gave great perspective

  • Great video! Wizard of Oz and all that!

  • Wow I finally heard a tornado, most videos all you hear is the annoying static of wind against the mic.

  • lol @ windmill. Great video!!

  • Boner.

  • earthquakes and tornados in one day.. we all gonna die man

  • 1:30 -----(°,°) WTF?

  • @Vrtcut21 Cloak Engaged :p

  • impressive footage. we have enough windmills in the Netherlands but we're lacking tornadoes.

  • Woow!

  • That's some pretty freaking cool footage -- a tornado going through a windmill farm. NICE.

  • woot im the second view
