  • It's songs by Sparks that get me through the day at work. Luckily, in my department we are allowed to wear headphones and listen to music and not a day goes by without me playing a few Sparks cds'.

    This is lyrically brilliant, as a child averts the attentions of those strangers waiting outside the school gates, real or otherwise. Contains the profound line:

    "My Parents say the world is cruel, I think that they prefer it cruel."
