Every time I watch these videos to the end, it saddens me greatly that TLC, formerly "The Learning Channel" has slid so far in to the void of garbage programming. Alas, from James Burke to Jon and Kate Gosselin in just over a decade.

Anyone that`s had to write a Thesis will know that the connections can take an infinite path through history - it depends on what topic you`re focusing on at that particular time of study and the information available. (10% of you, right?)

Take your comment. I notice you're using a European keyboard, possibly French or Spanish (the back-quote ` is Western-European key code 96, non-US clavier).

You've written a thesis so you have a doctorate (unless you gave up). Money would not be an issue as your government would've paid most expenses (non-US).

So you could choose anything you wanted meaning it wasn't likely technical or business related.

Wild guess: Degree in History, trying to finish that book. Working in service industry!

Nothing too fancy: Degree(Hons), yes, all paid for from my own pocket (working too); highly technical subject matter (but I like writing for the Layman) on various subjects.

I`ll give you 1/10 for guessing & yes, still a Prisoner to the System - after 30 years!
