  • shes not reading she's couching behind the letter.. look she's not looking to the word she's looking behind the paper.,.,somebody's couching behind hehehehe lol,.,.,

  • so cute

  • She is so smart!!!!!!! I Cant believe it!!

  • Bravo ;) great work and lovely girl

  • Not on youtube, but my mom has me on old reel to reel reading flashcards at age of two. She also campaigned for phonics style teaching. I grew up a good reader and writer thanks to the early attention. One method she used was putting signs on everything. The refridgerator had a sign on it that said "refridgerator". Smart. Thumbs up this comment if ytou like that idea.

  • its all words from "my baby can read"

  • UM SHE PROBALY GOT TRAINED

  • SOO FUCKING CUUTEEE I WANNA EAT YOUR BABY WITH SOME TOAST AND BAGELS!!! ;DDDDD

  • @FuzzyCigarDude You are an idiot. Reading is being able to associate symbols with objects or actions, which is exactly what she is doing.

  • My baby has a year ,can you tell me step by step how your daughter was able to memorize all these words. I want to do the same thing with my son thank you

  • AWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW im in love wif the cute girlllllllllll shw is soo cuteeeeeeeeeee

  • Unlike other videos of reading babies, your child appears to love the attention and stimulus of learning. Keep giving her the positive feedback!

  • I have a problem with this kind of teaching. While it's good for sight words, I am aware of many kids who have problems later because they don't learn how to sound out words and they have to work harder to catch up again with the regular kids.

As long as parents don't neglect these teachings when they grow up it shouldn't be a big deal but it's hard to see some kid who can't read because it wasn't one of his memorized words.

All the best with you kid.

  • @ctdale My son reads ANY word in about a dozen languages - BETTER than any one I know - complicated words and all of those difficult to pronounce and those that are impossible to "sound out" - since he was about one and a half.

Not teaching your baby to read and crawl (and swim) should be a crime!

  • amazinggggggggg

  • She's an adorable baby! God, bless your child!

  • lol this is cute, when i was 14months old i could speak, FULL SENTENCES! my dads got this old video cassette of him doing an interview of me... cute aint it? haha, but yeah its surprising how some children excel in reading/understanding/speaking at a very young age, and some kids will be 4 years old and still wont know how to say daddy!

  • There is single reflex mirror above the picture on the left so the dad can stand behind the flash cards and do things

  • sooo smart

  • she can read, just not out loud. :|

  • amazing just for the simple fact her mom is showing her words not pictures. she has learned from the pictures and words together, but can remember the words without the pictures just like a teacher teaches you how to write your name if you saw your name on apeice of paper you would know thats your name you would say it after reading it so it is reading!!!

  • OH NY GOD!!!! forget dat she's so intelligent, she's just soooo cute mashAllah ,bless her

  • that mom is lovely

  • omg thats so cool :)

  • Amazing! great job mom and dad! She must be 4 now...whats she up to? Has she continued to be very advanced? as for 'koogan's' comment, i wonder if he realizes thats actually what reading is for everyone lol obviously doesnt have children.

  • i loveeeeeee her laugh <3 Shes so smart

  • I love the seagull, laugh, eating, clap, tongue, dog, fish, car, lion, cheeks, yawn love the last one the most Meowh..

  • hes awesome...

  • very cute and adorable and super smart! I love the dog part.. :]

  • Truly amazing. It brought me to tears. Reading or "memory vision" whatever you want to call it, that baby is still very talented!

  • whos cares if she not actually reading shes still super smart!!!

  • cute

  • Fuck the reading part, she's gonna be an actress!

  • very good mom !!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • aw shes so sweet my favorite part was when she laughed for the word laugh. & i have to disagree with some of the people down there i'm sure kids that young & even younger can learn to read. cuz kids that age are able to learn so many things so quickly. now whether she actually is reading or memorizing i dont know but theres a possibility she could actually be reading cuz you can teach babies to read

  • @Baebol Yea i kno that was my fav too......i had a strait face up until that part and than LOL'd

  • the dog part was cute.

  • she's memorized the words, not reading.

  • yup words as pictures. if someone bought a random word in she wouldn't know it. It's like if a 2 year old child saw a Mcdonalds sign they'd know it was mcdonalds cos of the familiarity. i know of parents who claim their children could read at 2 years but they mistaken cos they used this same technique. You can get relatively young kids reading earlier/ walking earlier than normal, but that actually has no reflection on their IQ as they get older (from a lass with 20 yrs exp working with kids!)

  • @theredjediknight Wrong. Dead wrong. These kids are READING - and very quickly comprehending - and can read - and learn - words that they have NEVER seen before - and therefore they can start learning from a much younger age and spend WAY less time at the mercy of ignorant "teachers" and WAY more time reading books.

Not teaching babies to walk and read (and swim and do math) should be a crime! IQ has almost nothing to do with it - how about efficiency and ease.

  • Are you using that program My Baby Can Read? I saw it on an infommercial.. By the way, Aureilia is such a beautiful name!

  • I agree with @k00gan, people are always saying their baby can read but the child is just associating a word with an action. They do not understand what the action or word means, and therefore are not reading.

  • wow

  • aww ~

    she's cuteeee !

  • amazing kid...

  • aw i loved her "meow" :) GOOD JOB at all the words!! :D Keep it up!!

  • Dont be jealous because your stupid son only know to eat hamburguers!

  • whatever she's doing it's great

  • OMG this is stupid

  • WHAT A FUCK !!! God job !!!!!!!!!!

  • WHAT A FUCK !!!

  • awesome! talented little baby!....

  • Nice *Thumb up*

  • Thank You Awesome!!!

  • WOW that is great, her signs are so good

  • Children should be children ..thats what went wrong with Michael Jackson...I'm just saying

  • it might be fake it might not but its still cute l0l

  • she is not really reading just recognizes how words look. But still amazing :)

  • isn't it that reading? or how do you do it? lol

  • LOL i know ur write... isn't that what reading is...?

  • @Snapjaw4

Yes but to recognise them doesn't she need to have read them?

  • wow thats amazing you guys must've worked really hard with her to teach her everything!

  • I think that babies would have better things to do then reading.:) Really.

  • This is great. You've obviously worked with her and did a great job. Please tell me what program you used: You'r Baby Can Read by Dr. Bob or the Doman program? I would love to know how you did this so I can teach by 17 month old daughter. Please share your expertise because you've gotten great results. I aspire to get the same results - just starting later. Thanks.

  • I have the my baby can read and it really works!!! great video

  • so cute

  • signs are amazing! i would be interested to know whether or not if you changed the order of the words whether the child could still recognise the words. or, if these words were used in a different context the child would still be able to recognise them.

More importantly why should a baby be taught how to read. The power of play and tactile experiences are a more valuable form of education at this early stage. Reading can wait.........

  • the guy does not tell her what to do cause she says stuff like meow how can he tell her without us hearing dummy

  • and shes always luking at the writing no one els

  • God Bless her, very cute child

  • I think the guy in the background shows her what to do from off camera...

  • I wanna have a baby like that !

  • cute and very smart child!

  • Though she s one year, signs are amazing

  • parrot guy made sense but 1 year old it is truly amazing and i cant understand how 1 year olds can be this inteligent but that may because i was born from drunks and junkies and was adopted and then i heard i was a foster child wich means after 18 im not their child anymore my dad said that to me :) how to respond to that tell me :p i didnt have much of an answer than silence but if i ever hada kid id give unlimited love forever and cherish my child even if it whould drown me i love children

  • eating is also the best!effing cute!

  • it s really amazing! it s certain that she s been taught these words through signs..i mean she saw them several times!! that shows that babies can learn quickly..dont hesitate to teach your babies at an eraly age!! so amazing!

  • I wouldn't classify this as reading.

  • she may not able to say the word but she knows what they all mean and that is still amazing!

  • omg! that is so amazing! now i cant wait to teach my one year old to read...

  • ur the idiot irish boy u fn fag

  • @powzow3 it was a joke dickhead go get a life and a sense of humour

  • ya whatever dickhead go bitch to someone who cares

  • How cool is that??

  • wow a 1 year old can read thats amazing....ly retarded

  • wow. ;) !

    it's very good! :D

  • Kind of like a parrot, if you know what I mean, you teach a parrot to do certain things by saying one thing and it responds by doing another thing, except she is seeing the word which she has saw times before and does the action she was taught! It is still really good that she remembers though :)

  • OMG!

  • wow

  • "Laugh" was so cute. She is a smart girl.

  • WOW, i think this is PHENOMENAL!! she is sssooo clever.... and cute!!

  • Good Work!

  • She doesn't actually know how to read. \/

  • lol

  • She is not reading. It's pavlovian reflexes : she recognizes complex forms (stimulus) and acts accordingly (response).

  • @k00gan yes. thank you.. i really dont like this your baby can read b/s. its all memorization, in my opinion the parents that believe their baby can read are the real idiots.

  • @k00gan Whatever she does she's good at it

  • @k00gan what do you think reading is if not recognising complex forms and acting accordingly?

  • @lifeinsepia

Not exactly. She's recognizing words as a pictures, not as letters forming words. It could have been exactly the same with drawings or pictures : stimulus => response.

And I also think that the order is important. If her mom had selected, say, 3 random papers, I'm pretty sure she would have failed to answer (and this would have been absolutely normal).

This baby has probably good memory skills (and training helps a lot), but in no way she is reading.

  • @k00gan I'd be inclined to agree with you, but at the end it looks like she's seeing 'frog' as 'fish', so I think the order is perhaps not relevant. But yeah, you're probably right, could have been pictures.

  • @k00gan dude, THIS IS READ! right!? ;p

  • @k00gan I am going to guess that this baby will eventually read faster and with far more comprehension than you and probably better than most of the people you know. My son reads aloud - just about any word WITHOUT having ever heard the word pronounced-in many different languages-this is clearly NOT "pavlovian" behavior-since he was about this age-the younger the human the GREATER the capacity for learning-PLEASE use those youngest years wisely!!

My son MEMORIZED two pages of a 4th grade book!

  • @JamesHGraff We all know that OUR kid is ALWAYS the best ever... By the way, I don't know what "fourth grade" means in US scholar system, since i'm french, but if you EMPHASIS that, it's probably because it is absolutely amazing ! ^_^

  • aw laugh def is the best :)

  • no...thats just raising your child in the direction they should go...which is to excel in school...teaching your child early sets them up for easy learning later on.

  • she is so adorable and this is such i cute vid iluvv it

  • i think she amazing :) she just 14 month...

  • it doesnt prove she knows reading, only that she can recognize the form of the word like it was a picture and relate it with something...

try to put in front of her a new word...

  • I think they was just showing that they know the meaning of the specific symbols.

Obviously their baby wouldn't know a new word, just like you wouldn't know the meaning of a new word.

  • That's true, but when she child gets older it will be more easier for her to recognize the word...

  • that's so amazing

  • Shes not reading the words, but only associating the picture of the word the corresponding thing.

  • i write my own songs when i was in her age

  • I can read that! AND pronounce the words. Not very impressive...

  • Actually it takes time and patience on the baby's behalf as well. It must be so boring for them.

  • poor baby!

get her/him a lifa as child!

  • it doesnt matter if it is MEMORY VISION or not that is a dam good memory for a one yr old!!!! and she is still far ahead of her peers

  • Oh Goodness! I love her impressions! Thats adorable!

  • Thats amazing!

  • thats so cute

  • i suggest you teach her how to say the words

  • she is one years old

  • I can't stand how parents teach their children x3

It's kind of annoying to a point :-P

Smart kid, we just hope these are not all the words she knows, not really that useful ^^.

  • For a 1 year old it's damned impressive. :P

  • I was just saying <:o

  • ugh that baby can read took my money. i paid the $14 or whatever for the trial and received nothing in the mail. it's been months

  • i wonder how many people yawned when the yawn paper came out.. I DID lol

  • lol me too

  • nothing special you probably just got her that reading dvd. any baby can do it

  • Why would anyone thumbs down this coment. The facts are that any baby CAN do it but it take time and patience on behalf of the parent, not the intelligence of the baby. People are making big bucks of these DVDs and parents do it to show off lol

  • very cute and amazingly clever she make sum gud impressions lol

  • wtf...

  • I could talk when I was her age.

I spent a lot of time with my Great Grandmother, and she taught me a lot of things.

  • How in the world did you teach her all this? this is truly amazing i dont care what the other ppl say they must not have kids.

  • it's called memory vision. he doesn't read, he have the words memorized in form of a picture.

  • shes not actually reading they just taught her those words and now she memorized them. itz nmot lyk she knows the actual letters and stuff. bt its still kewl i guess.

  • Wow!!! awesome

  • wow that's amazing

  • yeah i bet u just taught her that and sombody was in the background doing that and she copyed

  • wow! thats awsome! cool kid.

  • Wow!!!!

  • Technically, we don't actually "spell out" words we read either - it's the same thing - pattern recognition. Ttah's why polepe can raed secnetnes lkie tihs one - as lnog as the fsirt and lsat lteetr is in the rhigt poisiotn, you can fuirge out waht the wrod is. It's the difference between learning to "read" and learning to "spell". I would argue that this kid is reading, even if she doesn't know how to spell. Many languages (such as Japanese and Chinese) use symbols to represent words.

  • nah cat is awsome

  • Thats so sweet.

The baby may not be reading but has great recognition skills.

  • Chyeah, I doupt my baby could do that... altho she is already ALMOST walking at 3 mnths

  • You have an unbelievably cute and intelligent baby, i wish for her to have a successful life, which i'm sure she will get :)

  • Technically, this is not reading, but still impressive.

  • yeah agreed

  • Regardless of whether she is spelling out letters or recognizing what words mean, she still knows what all those words mean. Soooooo... why all the negativity?

  • so cute :)

  • No, it's not a trained reflex at all. My daughter could read when she was two years old, and my three boys read fluently at four. At six they had read many books. Even if the child hasn't developed the ability to speak it doesn't mean that she is not intelligent. And these kids learn more quickly than adults.

  • i think tongue and put your arms i the air are the best..= ]

  • yeah it looks a trained reflex to me.... the pavlov experiment sort of way.... the kid is trained to react to the look of words.or perhaps some expression on her mother's face(that of expectation of a particular word). But even then kudos for picking up so many reflexes

  • I'm betting that she just memorized the actions that go with the "symbols" on the page--she doesn't recognize that "l-e-g" spells "leg" which represents a certain part of the body, she just knows that she should kick when the sign that has the picture that looks like "leg" shows up. Still not a bad memory for a one-year-old, but not reading, per se.

  • i love the laugh

  • yo baby is raw ..really smart great job...im going 2 try that when i have a kid..n shes so cute

  • that's adorable!! I learned to read at three and ppl think that's amazing, but I think what you've done wit your beautiful baby is great!!!

  • Don't burden kids like this. You can "teach" monkeys to recognise numbers but they won't be able to calculate... This is Pavlovian training or sg like it. What's the sense????

  • Cute :3

I bet my baby sis could do that at 8 months (she already standing with support for minutes at 3 monthes)

  • Comment removed

  • Way to use your kid to sell a scam via the inter web; douche bag.

  • so......... CUTE

  • her mom is retarded I bet when she messes up she flips shit like GET IT RIGHT BABY!

  • yes maybe she can recognize those words but please don't force your baby for something not in the level in her age yet her brain is too young for that, but I appreciate what you've done to her but must be in the level of her age next time..

  • The child is decoding the words, i bet it took weeks for her to get it right and her parents did a excellent job and probably stayed positive and pushed her a little bit

My brother could do it at two but never at 14 months he was to distracted i don't know how they kept her in focus at such a young age.

    What a smarty pants

  • is this 4 real.

  • aww this is amazing, she is so cuteeeeeee

  • Reading, no. Recognising, yes. Good stuff!

  • I'll go for original here and say so cute.

Its great that you can harness what your baby's knowledge. It'll give her a great head start for school!

  • CUTIE!!!!!!

  • what are these people thinking thats fucking weird to put ur baby on youtube like that for that reason get a life

  • aww thatz cut

  • She is so cute ...

    and good

    lol x

    shes adorable
