I think any nationality who adopts the hip-hop culture, never really see themselves trying to be the best Filipino rapper or Chinese rapper, etc. If you look at all types of hip-hop artists, they seem to first promote their artistry (I'm the best, etc.), then their location (East Coast, West Coast, etc.), and lastly, if ever mentioned, their nationality. Good music is good music. It's only after liking the music are people shocked to see the rapper is Asian.
