  • Apparently there is a new trailer of The Amazing Spider-Man on February 9th. I know this is the film that most of us grew up with but I don't think it is fair to write off the new one just yet. From what I have heard the Comic-Con footage showed that Spiderman was a complete joker and smart ass which is what we all want. Apparently during a fight sequence with a thug Spider-Man drops to his knees begging him not to hurt him in a very sarcastic tone. He even fakes a sneeze to shoot his web.

  • I just got this on Blue Ray today.... and I cant wait for Spiderman 2012

  • the original spiderman movies are the best

  • i miss this trilogy! i remember when i was 9 when spiderman 3 came out and i couldnt wait for it kinda like how i was with transformers 3, those were beautifull times, but now screw the new 2012 movie!

  • Spiderman wasnt meant to be some emo kid. THIS is spiderman. The sarcasm, the cheesy humor, the action...

  • At 0:54 he's wearing two bracelets on his wrists, was he wearing web shooters?

  • Thumbs-up if you still laught at 2:18 :D

  • Tonally this trailer makes me think of Spider-Man much more than the trailer for AMAZING (Not to say tha tit looks terrible) This just reflects the more fun and lightheartedness of the character much more. AMAZING looks like it is trying too hard to be the next BATMAN BEGINS.

  • @SLPIFan agreed!

  • They should've kept this Spider-Man, did Spidey 3 dissapoint many fans - sure but that's why there are sequels which could've meant Spidey 4...Raimi's Spider-Man will always be the best!

  • Doing a new Spiderman only 10 years since the first one (which was VERY successful) has to be one of the dumbest things in cinema right now

  • @philip1123

It was to me as well, until I heard that the next BATMAN reboot is going to come in an even shorter amount of time after DARK KNIGHT RISES than AMAZING SPIDER-MAN is coming after the Raimi Trilogy.

  • i like at the end how they mention Superman when he's DC :P

still, this, Dark Knight and Iron Man are my favourite superhero movies

  • A great movie with a climbing story, beautifully-spun characters, and a good but sticky ending.

  • There's no way Amazing Spider-Man in 2012 can top this. Amazing Spider-Man has doucebag, mainstream actors and a young, inexperienced director who is not staying true to the source material. This one was very true the comics, had great acting, and was directed by a man who had a loyalty to the comics.

  • @ranchnugget plus the new spider man looks so emo, I don't remember Peter P looking emo or acting emo, he was this kind of nerd that Tobby got, plus this new SM looks to skinny, he could not hurt a fly, at least Toby had abs, not thrilled that they are doing a new SM, but I can't believe it was 10 years ago since the first one.

  • @TheHattaru I bet that teenage audiences will fall for the new one. It's going to be mainstream. Big Budget special effects and story, unnecessary dark over-tones, glamorous actors who mumble their lines, and not an ounce of truth to the comics. Andrew Garfield, who may have been born in America, grew up British and is therefore British. We don't need British people playing American Super-Heroes. Plus, when the Brits try having American accents, they MUMBLE MUMBLe MUMBle MUMble MUmble mumble----

  • @ranchnugget can't beat the originals

  • @brendasourus9 No way. The entire point of American Super-Heroes is to show American Nationalism. But Bat-Man: The Dark Knight had to go and ruin it all by making super-hero films "dark and gritty". That's not the point. The Amazing Spider-Man in 2012 may be "more true to the comics", but the reflection of pure American Culture in Sam Raimi's films makes them a relic that Mark Webb can have no hope of topping if he decides to follow in the footsteps of the highly overrated Christohpher Nolan.

  • seeing this trailer back when i was 3-4 blew my mind and i had my obsession for the next 10 Years

  • Was this really 9 years ago?!

I dont remember being 10 years old when watching this

What I do remember is that I watched this at the Archlight Theaters in Hollywood=MINDBLOWN haha

  • One of the best superhero movies ever made. Can't wait for them to adapt the Luke Cage comic book. Did you know that's where Nic Cage got his last name? So boss! Can't wait to see him in his next film Trespass! bitly. com/qN22Cm. Just saw the trailer and it looks DOPE.

  • This one was the best of all the trilogy

  • The top best superhero movie ever made ALL THE WAY .

  • i remember this

  • I remember seeing these trailers in the theatres as six year old boy. When I finally saw the movie with my Grandma, it was the best thing I had ever seen. And then the sequel was even better when I saw it as a nine year old. Now I'm 16, still young, and I cannot believe how well this movie has held up. Iron Man, Thor, X-Men, Hulk, those movies have nothing on Spider-Man. He will forever have the best Marvel Filmography. Here's tribute to Spidey. Thumbs up if you support his legacy to live on.

  • Who am I? I'm Spider-man.

  • OHMYFUCKINGGOD!!! i remember when i was 5-6 and i love this movie then...:D

  • The reboot should be a alternate reality from this one and we shouldnget both versions I'd like story to continue there are a lot of unsolved questions from spiderman 3

  • Man, people should actually wait 'til the reboot comes out in theatres and watch for themselves before they judge it. Judging something ahead of time just proves some people aren't even willing to give it a chance. And yes, I know it's weird that they're rebooting it so fast, but I guess my opinion's not really gonna change many people's minds. When I voice my opinion, sometimes people just give me shit. Maybe you guys should ignore me and forget I said anything, your choice.

  • Fuck you Sony. Seriously. The reboot looks horrible.

  • Anyone know a way to get to the alternate universe that has Spider-Man 4??

  • man looking at dis trailer compared to tha reboot trailer, dis looks like sesame street. i like tha dark essence of the reboot !

  • BOOONESAWREADYYY

  • Aunt; "You're not Superman you know"

    Peter; *Pulls a, you-have-no-idea face*

I loved this movie, they had everything right, the costume, plot.

But the reboot looks awful, also because they screwed up the costume.

  • The problem with casting British Guys to play American super heroes is that they mumble their lines to do an American accent. This film looks good, but at the same time the melodramatic tone looks like it will be appealing to giddy teenagers. I mean, sure the Raimi films had drama, but this looks even worse. If only Sam Raimi had not screwed up Spider-Man 3, then there would have been a satisfying trilogy and nobody would have cared for this awful reboot. (reffering to Amazing Spider-Man)

  • I know The Dark Knight is the new thing. But Spider-Man will always be my favorite, and i see it no less than TDK in any way.

  • This movie came out when i was 6! I mostly fell in love with Spidey when the second movie came out. I watched both movies over and over.

How can they make a fucking remake of this?! Spiderman 1 was a classic Superhero movie. I dont need to hear the origin story again. We know the story. They shouldve picked up where the last movie left off...

  • Revisiting this trailer, I've finally realized why I'm iffy and unsure about the reboots new look. I loved this version so much because it was campy, comicbooky fun. That's what Spider-man always was. He was cracking jokes while beating down a mugger (though, indeed, this version lacked that side of him the more it went on) The new one...is just...so...damn...dramatic. If you took these two and meshed them together, it'd be perfect. But alone, I worry the new one will be like Degrassi. >_<

  • @RevolutionChick It's because of Nolan's take of Batman. It was dark and evil and black, and because it was so successful, many comic book movies are gonna try to go in that path. I'm sure this new Spiderman will be good, but it's not how Spider-Man is, that's not him, they're trying to recreate his character. And i don't like it.

  • @AJVersatility19 Truetruetrue....so sad too. Batman being dark works - that's how the comics ended up. Spider-man, even with the moments of drama he had, was still a fun campy sarcastic sorta thing. Going dark is just going to end up like Spiderman 3, imo.

  • @RevolutionChick Yea leave the dark nature Spiderman for the symbiote version and Venom series. That can be dark because that's when he became evil, but as for the origins and his fights, Spidey has the time of his life swinging through the city and making sarcastic remarks when he's fighting, winning or losing.

  • @AJVersatility19 Took the words right out of my mouth. That's why I always enjoyed Spider-man. He was human, not emo. He had his sad moments, but his passion was fighting crime, 'woohooing' swinging through the streets, and cracking sarcastic jokes while beating down the bad guys. I don't know why everyone wants to see him all angsty instead. I hate emo angst. Turn on Vampire Diaries and Gossip Girl for that sh!t.

  • anyone else happy the new one DOESNT look like this?

  • @xplay101 Nope, this is how Spiderman is, the new one is an obvious attempt to replicate Chris Nolan's Batman.

  • @AJVersatility19 for real? like, marc webb called up chris nolan and was like "hey dude how did you do batman begins?"

  • @xplay101 Not that dramatic. Just everyone saw the success in those Batman movies, and there's quite a high demand on movies like that from comic book fans, they prefer every movie now to be going that direction of the dark nature of the character and the world. Spiderman isn't like that. He's a good natured hero who has dilemmas sure but he's all about having fun and such. This new seems to introduce us to a different one, that's all serious.

  • This was the 'fun' kinda spidey.. the reboot will be a more emotional approach to the spidey genre. I believe it will be good also.. :)

  • @pexpix Spiderman is not a genre, he's a character. This old Spidey was the real Spidey and how he really is. This new one is trying to come into the new generation of dark characters, it works for Batman cuz that's the world he lives in, but for Spider-man, they have to change the world around him. It's upsetting but that's how it is. And anywhore this spiderman series was ALL about emotion. Just not the evil and dark part of it.

  • @AJVersatility19 I totally agree with you, don't get me wrong, I LOVED this Spiderman, but recent movies went a bit downhill. I believe that a breath of fresh air will dust away some old cobwebs ;)

  • @pexpix Although i'm anticipating the release of the remake. It won't be as good as this one, and no one will ever play a better Peter Parker than Tobey. Wishing all my luck to Garfield tho, he's an exceptional actor.

  • hard to believe this movie is 9 years old

  • This series is the REAL spider man. not that crappy reboot.....

  • this trailer looks too cheesy and the new amazing spiderman trailer looks too boring :P

  • honestly i doubt the reboot will be good cuz all of the actors look like supermodels while these actors looked like normal people

  • 1:50 kirstens boobies :D

  • Tobey was cool but I am lookin forward to the new movie

  • I'm starting up a campaign to boycott the premier of the remake.

  • This Is The Real Spiderman Fuck The New Rebooted One

  • Why. are. they. remaking. this? These movies were just fine the way they were and they're only 9 years old wtf?

  • i love these movies but the reebot loves cool

  • I find this okay, the second one was a little chessy. Third one reasonable. Remake an awful idea. Just an idea to make more cash.

  • @CoolBoysBackYard I'm gonna give the reboot a chance, I truly believe Marc Webb will deliver something Raimi didn't bring to the table. Andrew Garfield will be a great Parker/Spider-man.

  • love this spider-man movie! its part of my teenage life!

  • To everyone asking WHY WHY WHY? Its because SM3 was so bad it ruined the entire series. These were good movies, but they werent good SPIDERMAN movies. No Web shooters, No gwen Stacy, No wise cracking..these are things that may seem "nit picky" but these things are what make SPIDERMAN. The new film isnt a remake, its a reboot, with an Origin, different more accurate story telling..hopefully it will wipe the taste Raimi left in my mouth away.

  • @azuzaj1 LOL at your last sentence xD

  • @xLavenderBlossomx LOL wow, You know what I mean.

  • HOW DARE THESE FREAKS REMAKE THIS MOVIE!!!!!!

  • this movie is great¡¡

  • The first great superhero movie that set the stage for all of the following hero movies.. im going to miss this trilogy :(

  • @Chris11295 It was actually X Men

  • I hope the remake doesn't suck. I love these movies too much. >__>

  • best movies ever!! plus, James Franco are in them.

  • lol his face when aunt may says he's not superman. in the movie his expression is different.

  • I can't wait for 'The Amazing Spider-man' trailer!

  • I saw this trailer in 2001 and I couldn't wait for May 2002 I was pump. Also love the look of Peter Parker's face when aunt May tells him "You do too much, you're not Superman you know"

  • This movie came out when I was 9. I remember making my dad take me to see this twice in theaters!

  • lol i remember when i saw little i was a die hard spiderman fan

  • never saw the trailer before today. AWESOME trailer. Really makes you pumped up to see the movie

  • The spider-man reboot has to be HALF as good as this to be great.

  • The 1st. Spider-man movie was the best of them all.I rember watching this movie in theaters in 2002 when it first came out,I was wishing that the Green Goblin would crush the emo spider-man in the end.Hollywood should let the Bad Guys win once in a while.I know a lot of people would agree with me:D

  • @WhiteArmy1918 I know what you mean. I'm always so sad after the final battle because the villian is dead : (

  • i remember the first time i saw this trailer,i went balistic in the theatre

  • @neworleansalgiershus Me too, expect being in the theater

  • What's that song at 2:13?

  • Spider-Man and Resident Evil best movies of 2002 in my opinion

  • The Trailer is better than the movie!!

  • Green Goblin is the primary antagonist of the film.

  • @ChaosLoveSmash Thank you mr. obvious.

  • @ChaosLoveSmash Is there any other antagonist?

  • Hard to believe that it's being rebooted when the movies are less than 10 years old.

  • @932sd All they had to do was finish the series.

  • @932sd just to input a little, ten years will have passed once the reboot movie comes out

  • @932sd not reboot, re imagined

  • i was 7 when this movie was out and i saw this one in theaters i saw every spider-man movie in theaters

  • @rockybalboa1fan ok...

  • Yeah. Kinda longer than it needed to be, but what an ending! Good trailer even though it's old

  • This is one cool trailer. I like the music Pompeii.
