Beautiful machine, thanks for sharing. Please clarify for me. I assume it doesn't do multiplayer games or alternate between players. I assume if no one is playing, anyone sitting at the 4 positions can insert a coin and start a game and the table rotates to their position for them to play a full game. Correct me if I'm wrong.
@spazzman90 It does switch players automatically by rotating, if more than one person is playing. It will also allow a single player to sit in any position and play from that spot.
@kevinpeterson71 I'm not sure exactly how many, but it's a small number for a pinball game. I'd have to ask my boss, since he's the one who would know.
any chance you know anywhere I could buy one of these machines? also if you have any ideas of online retailers for old machines I'd love to know since I live in the southern part of California. Thanks
What is the problem with it? I am in Michigan, so I won't be able to help too much. There should be lots of service centers in your area, because you aren't too far from Stern Pinball.
It would be interesting to see the internal mechanics of the game. While watching the video I was surprised to see the game rotate. At a minimum, it's a very nice conversation piece!
There's not much in there really. Power supply board, CPU board, and a couple smaller boards for the motor control. Everything sits on a big turntable withing the main cabinet.
I had to do some searching on that, I'd never heard of those before, I found their youtube channel with a promo video. I find it freaking hilliarious that the audio on the promo video is muted by WMG.
Every once in a while I've seen pinball games that are different. I don't think I've ever seen this particular one.
I wonder if there will be a simulation of this for our PC's (as well as iMacs, iPods, PSP's, Nentedo consoles, etc.) It would be unusual to rotate the game on the display.
That's an awesome table. I remember playing sit down pinball games at places like Pizza Inn back in the late 70's-early 80's. But I don't remember a table that spun around like that.
DAFT PUNK :D!

So basically, There's a spinner in that machinery that spins the playing field to up, down, and left, right.

@Multi3DSlover Actually it just turns. The playfield is angled down towards the flippers at all times, like a normal pinball.

The joys of youtube.
I have serviced a lot of pins in my life, but in all honesty I had never seen anything like this.

can't be 'RARE" if its been sold on ebay and YOU recommend to look for one! FRICK! must be nice to have that one.

Very cool to actually see one of these in working order. And it looks stunning as well. If I had the room for it, I'd go hunting for one myself.
Ok this is nitpicking, but why did you use a combination of black and white playfield rubbers? I don't mean the flipper rubbers, of course.
PS The background music (Daft Punk) goes great with it ;-)
Japz80 1 year ago
@Japz80 We were out of certain size white rubbers at the time, so we used black ones temporarily.

Look in the phone book under Amusement, you might find a local company that sells them to collectors.
This particular machine is very rare, but it does turn up on Ebay once in a while.

Wow! Weird machine.
Looks absolutely amazing for a 1978 game. I see cocktail pins for sale from time to time... usually beat up or dead.
Never a rotating one though!
