These guys were the best of friends. I had a friend that went to high school at Broad Ripple and to Ball State with Dave. They were even fraternity brothers in Sigma Chi and in the same pledge class. Whenever Leno was on we would go to the Show. These guys were almost a comedy act. Neither one was the straight man. They could have really licked butt as a comedy team. My favoriye Leno act was showing a starving kid Mr. Potato Head. "Kimba eat potato." "No, Kimba play with potato."

I think this is a true when letterman had his old show it was brilliant and hillarious late night with conan was good too but when both of these hostst moved to their earlier time slot they stoppped being either as funny or just stopped being funny altogether I guess its like a jinx or something that has affected conan more then letterman though conan now is just unwatchable
When Leno was at least as funny as Letterman...and greasy fast.

He's freaking hilarious in the 80s
Where did you find these or...? =\

Telkandore,
You're right, Jay was more funny then.
His wit, his timing, his swagger.
He had that edge.
Hitting the Big Time sorta watered him down some.
It kinda happened to Letterman too, when he left NBC for the earlier time slot.
