your misunderstanding the teachings of thompson.a mugger looks for people who are unaware or "off".a mugger is less likely to attack an aware person or someone who's "on".day dreamers in parking lots at 2 am are setting themselves up for confrontation in today's world.hes not saying you have no rights but that if you are unaware of your surroundings you will have made yourself a target.read his intro to his book - three second fighter and i think you will understand him better.
