but win7 sorted out all the errors, made it backwards compatible.. less memory usage.. faster boot times, DX11, faster framerates, gets full use of i series processors, they added heaps of helpful navigating tools and pretty eyecandy

Well, I'm sure that originally, the developers of Windows thought that dragging the application to the recycle bin would make sense. But then they ran into complications. What if a user didn't want to delete the whole application? What if they just wanted a cleaner desktop? And actually, I'm pretty sure that Windows sees Mac apps as .app folders. This is incredibly useful for passing on a small piece of software, such as the newton virus. Is there a program files folder for Macs?

I never had to download any driver for any of my computers with Linux.. (It all worked out of the box, I did however installed an Nvidia driver from the official source one time because in worked better)

I have been using windows 7 for a whille now( i have also been playing with the Betas).No problems with it, Very fast, eye candy, compatible with almost every windows XP/Vista software.And the games play great.
Upgrade to windows 7. What mac doesn't really tell you is that in order to use the "awesomeness" that is mac you have to buy an overinflated peice of hardware that has no flexibility that you will need to replace and likely have to install windows on anyway for capability issues.

You cannot have an operating system that is logged for businesses. It will basically devalue the company if secrets get out within the company once it is noticed and anyone can find it.
I must say I love the new commercial for Microsoft. What a way to advertise, with I created new features for them in all the adverts. I just hope they are now trusted as an operating system and have proper firewalling and no logging of all communication from the system.
Um I don't know where you got the idea to call this a Windows 7 video. This was the video Microsoft used back in 2003 for what they were planning in Windows Longhorn. a.k.a Vista.
I´ve been using a lot of platforms, personally I used to hate Vista, but I loved XP. Now that this one has been released, I think it´s gonna be a great product! i´m using Macintosh by the way right now.
I'm using a mac right now and it's treating me just fine. It's not sucking at all. In fact, it's sucking much less than the Windows Vista machine I was using in class a moment ago, and that was a relatively new IBM ThinkPad.

When I'm using a Mac, I feel like I'm not really using a Mac, I'm just there sharing the mac experience.
And it's because I grew up using Windows.
It's not about which is better, it's about WHAT YOU'RE better WITH.

On a Mac to uninstall an app you drag it to the trash and your done with it.
Now tell me how to uninstall something on Windows? exacly. Why do I have to go through this massive process to do one simple thing?

Well, I'm sure that originally, the developers of Windows thought that dragging the application to the recycle bin would make sense. But then they ran into complications. What if a user didn't want to delete the whole application? What if they just wanted a cleaner desktop? And actually, I'm pretty sure that Windows sees Mac apps as .app folders. This is incredibly useful for passing on a small piece of software, such as the newton virus. Is there a program files folder for Macs?

Also, I see it as: It's all about personal preference.
Sure, OS X is good for you, but for someone like me, for someone who is installing new programs everyday that are windows exclusive, I need Windows 7.
Also, a lot of the time, I find OS X tedious and annoying. JUST my person preference. You may find the tedious annoyances quite helpful.

i agree, i mean u need to enter passwords to change the control panel! Would I even be ON that account if i didnt kno the password? And u may say what if its already logged on? Well on Windows, Windows key + L is all u need if u need to leave but have it turned on. Mac OS X is so "moron friendly" it annoys the hell out of the people who have an IQ higher than 20, and yes i did use a mac before incase any mac fanboys start ranting at me lol

actually, the mac hardware runs windows. My MSI wind runs mac os x and windows, all for 200 quid, and it thinks it's a macbook pro too, not bad with 2gb of ram, runs like a dream, who would have thought? Windows 7 Ultimate and Mac OS x living in harmony.... On an MSI wind.

i even got a bluray burner as mentioned already-and my vaio is so super compatible with all the sony products like my bravia tv and my single-lens reflex camera sony alpha. i got a sony multimedia system here-so ppl buy sony vaios instead of overpriced and 'not as in the ad described image' of macs- vaio everything works better-office, win7, editing(video,audio)

It comes free with imovie (best splicing program on the market, even has greenscreen, garageband is amazing and hollywood standard is logic only on the mac)
also you can shove a blueray burner in a mac pro if you want to. how do you think hollywood burns movies? obviously not with PC's

imovie/garageband is ok with home use. hollywood burns their movies using PC's,you need lots of powerful hardware that you CAN'T install in a mac due to its 'closed' environment. I mean when have you ever heard of people upgrading CPU's and GPU's on a mac? NEVER, you have to buy a new mac for NEW hardware! For a feature film, the editing is NOT done on an Apple or Windows pc . That is because the data rate for digitized film is many times greater than HD, thus, movie theater screen size.

There's just one universal kernel and Linux has a better out of the box hardware experience than any Windows version has..
I never had to download any driver for any of my computers with Linux.. (It all worked out of the box, I did however installed an Nvidia driver from the official source one time because in worked better)

I'm thinking hard about either upgrading to windows 7 or Mac OSX. last time i went from xp to vista it was a fucking disaster that required so many wasted days and months to fix. I really dont know, should I stay put with XP or switch.

Yes, vista was a fail (not as big of a failiure as windows ME but still a FAIL)
I have been using windows 7 for a whille now( i have also been playing with the Betas).No problems with it, Very fast, eye candy, compatible with almost every windows XP/Vista software.And the games play great.
Recommend it.

Upgrade to windows 7. What mac doesn't really tell you is that in order to use the "awesomeness" that is mac you have to buy an overinflated peice of hardware that has no flexibility that you will need to replace and likely have to install windows on anyway for capability issues.
I am using Windows 7 and also installed it on old Pentium D machines with no issues at all.

I'm using a mac right now and it's treating me just fine. It's not sucking at all. In fact, it's sucking much less than the Windows Vista machine I was using in class a moment ago, and that was a relatively new IBM ThinkPad.
