is now 2011 and i was windering where is the expansion of the building is it located in other area in milwaukee or still on 76th street. I was there when it first opened but now it looks dead I would love to support but theres not much of what we can do if the owner still dont want to do it. The hmong community in milwaukee is pretty big and I really do think we shouldn't target only the hmong community is on the northside of town i really think we should do it for all kinds.
40 vendors??? i went there 2 weeks ago and there was like only 10 vendors. We were in there for like 10 minutes and already made our way throughout the place.
The shop here would be great if the management was better. We used to be vendors at this place and it was an awful experience. All the lies and deceit was not worth the headache. The owner Pai Yang is alright but as for her copartner (husband) he is very rude and unprofessional. He may act nice but beware he is evil. I'm all for supporting the Hmong people but I advise you to stay away from doing business there.
that's so cool. but i think we should market this not only to the hmong community but to everyone. I am pretty sure there are some white people who would like to have some hmong souviniers.
I just went there on my lunch break. I was expecting grilled chicken, papaya salad, etc to be there, but there's no cafe/kitchen there. They did sell premade laab/laj (minced beefe) and sticky rice. I met the owner in this video; she's very nice. I bought green onion and cilantro from a stand and a pheasant from the Pai Xiong. This is something very nice for us in Milwaukee. I hope and wish for a bright future for Taj Laj Phongsavan. The cafes/kitchens coming in the near future.
wow, it looks similar to new year or something...most of the people selling were dress up in traditional clothes. there seems to be a lot of stores...i should stop by if i'm ever in WI :)
you should put the address of the place in the description box so we can go visit it. it seems interesting. :)
