Rowsey63 is off his head...yes 18year old Boone was only a wagoner...but he did NOT run away at start conflict...this statement is totally wrong and unfair.. to a great mans name & reputation...after several hundred of the British/colonial troops were decimated. the remaining troops panicked.. were totally routed & ran back to the safety across the river..the battle lost,Boone unhitched his wagon .. raced his mules back to safety, as the others who could DID...the rest were scalped...tortured.
@sheepsfoot2 "We all gorget now! But you must have been there? Just like when Napolian was beaten by Wellington. All writen history is Fiction! I thought you knew that???"
@sheepsfoot2 "You should do more reading of fiction. Not your idea of facts! Everything is writen by somne elses idea of facts. And neither you nor anyone alive today knows where those facts came from. I am a writer. I study writing POV of many other writers. So get your facts straight and they will still be bent in the wrong direction."
My opinion is my own opinion and you won't chanmge it. I've lived too long!"
OK video but the French & Indian War wasn't in 1775. Braddock's Defeat was in July of 1755. Boone was only a wagoner and ran away when the battle started. Granted, it was a smart move on his part. The Virginians that were there were only considered "carpenters or axemen". Other than that, it wasn't a bad video.
@Theamericanstates this up-loader is an idiot....i wouldn't use any of this rubbish for your Pennsylvanian project...its not even factual...
1/ there was 3 of boone's daughters kidnapped by the Indians not 1.
2/ dates are wrong on Braddock's defeat... 3/ 18year old Boone with his ONE wagon ..1 of so many dozen colonial supply wagon's.. contracted by the British... in Braddock's massive campaign.
this video saying that Boone was advising the general on military tactics..hahahahahaha.
He opened up the trail west and his thanks from the state of KY was to take his home and land from him because he didn't file his claim right.Typical government action. Therefore the reason he went farther west.
...so he ran like a nigger up a treeeeee!
