Video: unless you deploy the breaks "ON NEW model waverunners" just letting go of the throttle will not be enough. on a waverunner or boat the best option to avoid collision is to power away. IE: turn the wheal/handles bars away from the object and power out. waverunners are highly agile and will turn at that distance. NOW im not saying go full blast, but a short burst of throttle will steer him away. in any circumstance it would be better to hit the boat.

the jetski is a jet drive, when that guy cut the power, he lost all steering.

Thats called wake surfing there is no rope, and those are direct drive boats. The prop is in the middle of the boat underneath.

You can't be serious? That is an inboard boat, the prop is at lease 5 feet from the back edge of the platform. I couldn't hit the prop with a jet pack on. Wakesurfing is the safest sport you can do on the water because you are going 9 mph. Think about that the next time you are spinning your grandkids around on tubes in the s-curves on 4th of July.
