Dont forget to put 1:100 two stroke Oil API TC into the tank for each fill, because thats good for the carbs and the pistons..modern fuel does not take care of the old engine materials and the old injection needs lubrication by the two stroke oil too!

I love watching them brake for a red traffic light because when they come to a stop, they go down on their haunches like a stalking cat. When the light turns green, they spring up and away just like a pouncing cat.

The DS23 efi Pallas was undoubtedly glamorous and I certainly loved it dearly ~ it was my first car. The main problems were that it was designed during a time when mechanic's wages were low... and the rust worm was not taken seriously by Citroen... my letter to Citroen central was sniffily dismissed in a terse response in French. I now own a 1992 Saab 900 convertible (see my channel, Eire video) ~ not quite the same, perhaps, but supremely reliable and rust free :)
The ds23, espacially the Pallas are very sensible to rust. They've decided to use steel of poor quality (recycled) because of the oil crises in the '70. But the cars fram '55 to '72 are very reliable and rust resistant.
I own 35 ds (!). The Saab is a great and safe car but were is the feeling of the suspension, the roaring sound of the engine en the superb seats and driving...

Erm, 'scuse me, I used to own a 1973 DS23 efi Pallas. Actually it's the clutch that's automatic. It operates on shifting the gears (the gear shift is located on top of the steering column and it goes 'round in a squared-off U shaped track.) The button thing on the floor is actually a pressure sensitive switch operating the main brakes - it is only covered in a rubber ball to give the feint-hearted some sense of conventional car brake pedal travel... Hope this clears up any misunderstandings.
oh, come on! what i saw was the clutch pedal. i have my own ds and know the difference between a semi-automatic and a manual shifter! and i know what the parking brake looks like.
