Oftentimes a slow peaceful song in a minor key can be intepreted as being sad. However, I believe the sadness comes from within the listener and is not necessarily the intent of the music. The gentle wind that blows through the trees or the still water of a mountain lake are not sad. They are peaceful. There are times when a heavy metal band may be appropriate as they may rage with a broken heart against the backdrop of a peaceful mountain that they once knew. Thank you for your expression.
