@MrBurlingtonNorthern pretty sure all toyota tacomas with standards have a clutch cancel button. Turn the key on, hit the button, put it in 1st gear, don't touch the clutch pedal, turn the key and it will move the truck. Great for getting them out of the way if they won't start. Can even put them in 4L and get them up on a trailer that way. Pretty sweet setup!!
True, so long as there isn't an interlock to the clutch pedal... most American vehicles are designed for idiots, so they had to keep people from destroying garage doors and houses when they forget to push the clutch in under normal circumstances.
I did exactly what you said to get my car out of an intersection when the ignition module died. All the way across and up on the curb. I'm sure the starter hated me, but it was better than screwing 4 lanes of traffic!

I lived in Yuba City California for a while, and they had train tracks running freight right thru town!!! The tracks were parallel with the street. Went trough a couple stop lights. They paved around the tracks. They always went very slow, but it sure was a sight to see a huge train crawling thru town. It almost looked fake. As far as I know they tore up the tracks and that no longer exists. I wish I had video of it.

I once was in Miami in a line with my car and I started to hear this familiar bell sound for a while... I turned down the volume of the radio and then I realized I was in the middle of the train rail!!!! and the train was comming and I had a car infront of me. The data is incorrect, I have run 9 car commuter trains that were able to stop in less than half a mile using regular applications from 80 mph. The freight distances are wrong as well. Any train that cannot be stopped in a mile or less, that does not run on properly controlled and signal equipped routes, are run at reduced speed so as to be able to control stopping. witch happens to be most of the track out there. I see a lot of mis info publicly displayed.

ONLY if you have an older stick shift the does not have the clutch saftey switch,
in the US, I forget what year this started, but you have to have the clutch pushed in before you can turn over the engine.

The data is incorrect, I have run 9 car commuter trains that were able to stop in less than half a mile using regular applications from 80 mph. The freight distances are wrong as well. Any train that cannot be stopped in a mile or less, that does not run on properly controlled and signal equipped routes, are run at reduced speed so as to be able to control stopping. witch happens to be most of the track out there. I see a lot of mis info publicly displayed.

I've been told by an engineer that they are instructed not even to break until after a collision. Person or vehicle. Sad, but true. With the amount of trespassers and idiots out there trains would never move if they had to slow down for everything.

there's an automatic script running that detects signatures from WMG tracks. It's really easy to beat if you try though but most people don't care.

Driver had to drive around closed gate to get hit.
Could have caused a derailment and hurt or killed others.

Not a "train wreck".
An idiot in Denver, CO, could not wait for gates to go up after eastbound train passed.
Went around the gate and was killed by a westbound train on the next track.
A dumb high school girl stayed in her car
stalled on a track. Had plenty of time to get out and walk away, but remained seated.

the collision likely occurred well back at a level crossing. the SUV was pushed along the track, stuck to the front of the locomotive, till the train could be brought to a stop. Happens every day. And every day, others think 'can't happen to me'. Then it happens again. and again. Think a semi has trouble stopping for a car? A train can't even try.

me and my friend were playing truth or dare by his train tracks. He was on the tracks when a train was coming. U all kinda know what happened next. Look up old videeos on cnn, and type in "boy hit by train." It happened by johelia trail in antioch. Never saw him again after that. His name was caleb borgstrum.

True, but a little misleading. That means of all the vehicle-vehicle collisions and all of the train-vehicle collisions you die 30x more against a train. Not that there are 30 train related deaths for every vehicle related one.
