Andrew is a good songwriter and a reasonably good guitarist as well.
They were only really first paid attention to because of Andrew as he was the one the teenage girls liked.

Andy was still a big part of Wham. He formed the band, co-wrote some songs and managed their fashion style.
He was also great support for George, who later said he missed him terrible when going solo. Also he's extremely articulate and overall a clever chap.
