  • Question, i have a 98 chevy malibu ls and my wipers only work if i turn the switch to the highest setting, what should i replace?

  • @dext3r315 I would start by checking the switch at the connector just like in this video to see if it is working properly.

  • hi, i have a problem, my 93 corolla wiper's turn on itself when i turn the key to "acc" position (the wiper switch is at the "off" position), do you have any idea what seems to be the problem? -thanks-

  • @easyletgo That could be a switch problem.

  • Hi Richpin, the voltage off my yellow wire is reading approximately .3, but yours was 11.5 or so... does that sound like a switch problem? I put a new motor in there (thinking it was the motor), but the low and intermediate switch settings don't make the motor spin.

  • @goatinapastlife It is not a switch problem because the voltage does not go through the switch.Look for the problem at or around the wiper fuse in the interior fuse panel.

  • Great video Richard. When you test resistance at the socket, did you put the key on off position or accessories/run? Thanks.

  • @gaoanyu1 The key is in the off position.

  • I have a 98 Saturn SI2 one day my wipers just stop worken i was go to take it to a shop the up comen weekend and then they start worken and now they stop worken a gain how do i know if its the moter or a shortage

  • Your videos are perfect.

  • I have a 98 SL2 and my wipers where acting funny as it would go up mid way it would make like a scratching sound but it was not the wiper on the windshield itself tested that. then as it went back down no prob then when it went back up same thing and would get stuck sometimes. then finally now they dont work. but I still hear the motor trying to work but its like mech itself is not moving even though the motor is trying what is the prob and how would I fix it.. :( thanks for any advice.

  • @cloud1833 I think i know what your problem is check out my video named "Windshield Wiper Arm Repair"

  • @richpin06a thanks for reply that was one I watched that was not it sadly but with the lubing windshield wiper linkage using that video got it all apart :) and they work again but still making that scratching noise almost seems like its hitting something I dunno but I have not been able to fully lube the parts you showed because I ran outta lube lol. But hey its working now lol. it just seems like its scratching against something like a bolt not sure when I get more money will get more lube lol

  • Rich,

luv the electrical stuff. It helps big time.

    Thanks

  • Also I had a mechanic that stuck a screwdriver through the intake and tapped on something. This fixed it for awhile, but it is back to doing the same thing now.

  • I have a 98 Saturn Sl2. The wipers are stuck on if I turn on the wiper switch. They will only turn off if I turn off the car precisely when the wipers are in the down position. I have been told it is the wiper relay, which is located on the wiper motor. So I would have to replace them wiper motor. Is this true?

  • @lebowski0308 Yes when the wipers do not want to park themselves it is usually the motor.

  • do you ever work on any fords or cadillacs

  • @MrBigb1975 Very few Cadillacs fords yes.
