Hey there schazam04, thanks for watching and for your questionsI will try to explain my choices...
the real "sugar" is in the bananas, the berries are frozen without anything added at all, the honey is a healthy choice and it has a lot of benefits. The yogurt is plain and does not have added sugars or anything (it's sour). Our diet consists of freshly juiced vegetables, grilled chicken breast or fish, everything we eat, we try to stick to organic. So, for me to have this
So, for me to have a smoothie such as this is not too much sugar. We don't drink soda, kool-aid, punch or anything with refined sugar, the only sugar we have is this source, honey and fresh fruit. The actual smoothie itself isn't really even that sweet come to think of it because of all the yogurt. Usually, in the average diet, this is far healthier than the store variety...but all in all, you can take a banana away or something and tweek it to fit your style. I'm a very active person...
and I burn a lot of calories throughout the day, my vitals are great, my system is in order thankfully, and I usually don't use anything canned (except the coconut milk in this case) I'm 36 and I have had a load of health benefits from my diet...hair growth, weight maintence, normal blood pressure, restful sleep, stamina, clear skin, healthy teeth, no tiredness through the day, and a lot of other benefits! ;0) take care!!! :0) I'm sorry for running on and on! hehehe :0)
Hi there!! Well, this is an Osterizer (brand) and my favorite blender in the whole wide world. (smiling)...this one came from Macy's (As a wedding gift 14 yrs ago) but, you can probably find something similar at Wal-mart or Target nowadays. :)
I used a small container of soy strawberry yogurt. 2 overripe bananas, 1 tbsp agave nectar 2 Tbsp flax seed 10 oz mix of frozen strawberries and peaches and the creme from homemade coconut milk and a handful of ice, cause I like my smoothies thick. Made two servings. It looked and tasted so much like ice-creme that my daughter suggested we put it in our icee maker mold. I cant wait to try it once it is completly frozen!!:)

What kind of Yogurt do you use in smoothies? I tried dannon and it made the whole mixture rather sour...
jprithvi 3 years ago
Hello jprithvi, well, I used a store brand plain low-fat yogurt. I used honey to avoid any sourness. I hope this helps! :0)

Hi llam89, I used -Thai Kitchen- brand coconut milk. It had a solid chunk in it also, but I broke it up with a whisk. :)Thanks!
