  • At this point, the dog was brain dead. What you have witnessed is primitive reflexes. The same experiment was performed on the head of beheaded criminals in France. If you want full details, read "Stiff: the Curious Lives of Human Cadavers" by Mary Roach. Good read for those with a strong stomach. And if you sat and watched this whole video, part 1 & 2, i think you fit the bill.

  • Boo hoo about the animal. This is scientifically fascinating, and well.... progress!

  • I would like to decapitate the scientist's head, who is obviously not smart enough to work out that when you bring something back to life - that life is aware he/she is still alive.

  • ToTheArk says hi. :)

  • oh fuck this is whats going on in the beginning of forecast isn't it?.....Welp, I'm never

    sleeping again.

  • Aside from being very disturbing, this is one of the coolest things I've ever seen. It's cruel, yes, but the severed head had like 3 brain cells. It probably wasn't in a full state of consciousness (if such a thing exists). And what wouldn't anyone give for a second chance at life?

  • I'm not entirely certain of the validity of this video. If the head was severed, that means the spinal column would be as well, destroying nerves to create movement in the dog's head. Regardless of that, it's still highly disturbing...Tampering with things like this will only create anomalies.

  • So basically it's a zombie dog.

But in all seriousness, this is one of the more disturbing things I've ever seen in my life. The fact that any doctors, regardless of which government and country they served, would ever attempt to create artificial life in such a crude manner is truly chilling.

  • Question: How is it that the dog reacts to the hammer striking near it at 6:33 if it is just a severed head? It doesn't seem that a a head would have the mobility to flinch in the way it did.

This leads me to believe the presentation is an illusion of a dog being revived.

  • @Ungulates The head was decapitated at the base of the neck, I believe.

  • The people who did this experiment went to Hell, and are facing the same punishments they performed on the dogs every moment for eternity.

If there was no Hell, the universe created one, just to punish these people.

  • @FrustratedInc8 Really? The dog probably didn't consciously feel antyhing, and even if it did, think about that how this experiment on reviving dead organisms might help many more humans and dogs that were harmed in this experiment.

  • @tvpnbb Haha! Don't worry, my comment was meant as a joke. While this is creepy, the dogs were most likely not conscious of their disembodiment, and since the nerves were severed a while before the experiment, it is unlikely that it was painful. The dogs showed no sign of being in pain. I realize that this experiment was a big step for mankind. The only thing that somewhat bothers me is how many dogs they had to kill to do it, really. Other than that, it looks as humane as it could be.

  • @tvpnbb Not my "this is terrible" comment, I meant that. It is rather disturbing and nasty. However, I don't think it was incredibly cruel or anything.

  • @FrustratedInc8 Ok, sorry about the confusion.

  • This is just.... Terrible.

  • Sick bastards.

  • The dog head possibly died because of the lack of nutrients in the blood supplied by a proper digestive system

  • WHAT THE FUCK!!!??

  • are you fucking serious COMMIE ZOMBIES!!!!!!!1

  • Dog: Kill Me.

    Soviet Doctor: Later.

  • @FirefoXDMedia I SEE WUT U DID THAR.

  • that head dig must be like "OH GOD! PLEASE KILL ME!"

  • Mindfucked.

  • god damn it, why does every scientist in biology try to read the necronomicon

  • there is no way thats not animal cruelty

  • @O0zz6 If that is real, it's most likely that they are stimulating the muscles rather than actually keeping it alive, if it is real, then cthulhu will probably rise from rey'leigh and nylrahotep will take hs true form and we shall all truely be fucked, in the bad way.

  • So the Sci-fi shows with the human head living in the jar is not so far fetched huh?

  • seriously? Why are we so obsessed with not letting things move on in the cycle of life?

  • the hell????

  • Must be painful to be decapitated and alive.

  • Flood was here!

  • LING-LING'S HEAD!!

  • The flood was here!!!

  • The Flood has landed here, And we love Zombie Dogs.

All Moral Fgas,go back to your kitchen.

  • The flood has arrived, And we love zombie dogs.

Go back to your kitchen moral fags.

  • So they brought a dog back to life just for it to die again? Thats cruel.

  • The Flood was here...

We don't aprrove this shit, join our own timeless chorus instead of this pitifull attemp to recreate perfect life.

  • @giramew what is "the flood"? the only thing I know with that name is a certain alien race from a certain game...

  • @Masterful6O

The Flood is an intergalactic parasite from Halo.

The Flood i mentioned is a forum on Bungie.net

  • Flood

  • aw hell naw whats up dog

  • In America, Nobody has a dog.

In soviet Russia, dog has no body.

  • now... will it BLEND?

  • but...can it actually see?

  • 5:55 that label is edited on. I can understand if they wanted to translate it from Russian to English, but... considering the nature of the experiment, it uneases me.

  • There's got to be a good Soviet Russia joke for this.

  • Would be horrible if they could use this in Hitler.

  • All nightmare long, anyone?

  • one step closer to frankenstein i guess. lets get the pitchforks and torches ready....

  • and omg poor dogie.. :'(

  • WTF THOSE SCIENTEST ARE HORRIBLE....they took a live dog and cut its head off just to see if it could live with just blood and a brain and the other head organisms..... I have a big heart for dogs and although im a 14 year old guy I started to cry from sorrow for the dog :'(

  • wouldn't the dog's neck have to be connected to a body in order to move like this? 6:44

  • @spencegame the head needs to be connected to a neck to move like this, not the neck to a body :D i think the dog has a little neck :O

  • I first came here for ToTheArk but then regretted it after 5:36. That is SO inhumain!!!!!!! I could barely watch the rest of it..........it was like watching a train wreck.....you could look away!!!!!!!! I am happy that current laws prevents any other experiment like this that is so horrible from being conducted!

  • @Teeckocat i agree with you but i think that the dog was dead in the first place and they severed the head from the corpse and cunducted the experiment :/

  • @jimbobjones22 well it could have been dead but it is still weird how it reacts to all of the stimuli

  • WHAT HAS SCIENCE DONE!

  • Also, notice that they used a long-coat dog for this experiment; in actual operating conditions it would have been completely unsanitary to experiment on a dog with this much hair as it would get in the severed areas of the body. Why wasnt it crying or twitching in pain after it was "revived"?

It received traumatic damage to its neck area. The nerves which respond to pain would still be active. And the brain cannot survive without oxygen for long as well.. If you fell for this, they played you.

  • @zirrous You're probably right, but from what i got they weren't saying the dog was revived but rather the nerves and muscles of the dogs head.

  • @zirrous are you kidding? They used Heparin as an anticoagulant. And if you know anything about the body you will know they can bring people back to life after being dead for a few minutes... they were in wartime Russia...if you know anything about Russia, even during Peactime, you would know, that they do not fuck around. It would have brought shame to the country if this were faked and they would have been killed (the scientists). This is totally real. Medical Ethics were instituted AFTER ww2

  • This is all false and acted out. If you look closely to the footage, they never actually SHOWED the other side of the "severed" dog's head; this leads me to believe that in the time before they cut the scene and positioned the camera in front of the dog's head they actually positioned a live dog underneath the "operating table", where someone held it down, and through a hole in the "table" they let the dog's head stick through.

  • I found it hard to masturbate to this.

  • this is sick

  • Wow.......

  • That shit's just insane..

    O_o

  • So...We never thought that maybe we could do all of this to bring a human back to life? -.-

  • @JohnForester15 I hope you're trolling cos ur comment was retarded

  • @Supersomonerandom Problem?

  • amiaprophet

  • Sheesh, why a dog? Everyone knows that the zombie dogs are the worst enemies!

Jokes aside, this is fascinating, but a bit horrific at the same time.

  • I hate the science people!! They are torturning the animals! Fuck them!

  • when is death not death?

    When it's life.

  • The dog they're using is actually Alex's dog.

  • @UberUberLegend91 Or Sparky from EverymanHybrid. RIP Sparky.

  • Classic TTA.

  • Jesus christ how horrifying. Could you imagine being that dog?

  • @TheSixteenthEnigma Which part of this was in Forecast?

  • @Hopelessly13Broken it's at 3:12, they slowed it down for Forecast; the music is opening of a Beethoven piece slowed down and reversed

  • @Hopelessly13Broken Thanks!

  • Comment removed

  • Totheark sent you here.

  • @notvoid ARE YOU A PROPHET?

  • Ick.

  • Totheark is a commie! IT ALL MAKES SENSE NOW.

  • totheark brought me here. He's teaching us SCIENCE!

  • TOTHEARK

  • TTA

  • Slenaaarman.

  • If the dog was actually decapitated, that would destroy it's spinal cord and paralyze the dog completely, meaning it wouldn't be able to move at all (and definitely not twitch at that noise) not to mention if it didn't have a neck, it doesn't have muscles or tendons attached to anything for it to move. Even with that factor aside, the brain would be too overloaded trying to get nerves to respond that aren't there, the animal would be in complete shock and ultimately braindead.

  • SLENDERMAN.

  • With out this we wouldnt be able to keep organs alive that long outside of a human body, ready to be transplanted into some one else. So even though I know some people disagree with this, i still think its worth it.

  • even though it was cruel it let to research that saved hundreds of thousands and continues to save today.some sacrifices need to be made in order to save however disterbed they may be,i'm glad we have somewhat more advanced tech today.

  • At least it won't shit everywhere

  • Kindda cruel to the animal, but fantastic neverthless.

  • i wonder if they put the dog back together...

  • LOL I got 12 thumbs up for my racist remark. I love YouTube!

  • @Viktir666 you anti-semetist bastard

  • How would it be able to make that much movement without a spine or neck?

  • I would like to try a few experiments on this subject. We need some human volunteers. Drop me a line.

Ignorant people such as libtards that still believe in change from Barry Soetoro, who are in great physical condition. Such idiots should be on the edge of committing suicide and nothing to live for either.

Intelligent people that have little time left resulting from a serious physical illness would be perfect.

My wife graduated from medical school as one of the top 10 doctors in the nation.

  • y would the put it through that like it must still feel the pain and stuff poor doggy :(

  • Has anyone really been far even as decided to use even go want to do look?

  • @PowerfulFoe That is a very good point, thanks for commenting!

  • @JaeEffingKae What The Hell.

  • @JaeEffingKae What The Hell.

  • @JaeEffingKae What The Hell.

  • @PowerfulFoe lol wut!?!?

  • @Rathause

What the hell did he say?

  • @PowerfulFoe hahaha holy what batman! those words don't work together!

  • @PowerfulFoe I read this like 10 times, and I still for the life of me have no clue WTF you are trying to say.

  • @PowerfulFoe you forgot "more like" at the end

  • personaly i would rather chose to test on humans if it is a cure for us. ppl should suffer for the cures they wont so badly not animals. we will all die at some point all drugs and operations do is slow it down and course over population we need things to kill us off other wise we become the vermin.

  • Very interesting. I can just imagine the dog's thinking: "Dude, STOP poking at me you dipshit, I just got fucking decapitated, isn't that ENOUGH?"

  • the only way we will ever cure many of the diseases that kill people every day is through animal testing. its us or them. i dont think this is real though. looks like it is from a movie.

  • amazing absolutly amazing!!!!

  • This is what Obama will be doing to babies and the elderly

  • Think I'll watch Re-animator tonight...

  • FUCKING AWESOME!!

  • think what the NWO can do now in their bunkers.........

  • Absolutely disgusting. There are other ways to advance science without this barbarism.

  • @keeeeeg

I agree. But these were different times, not that it justifies this, but it was less frowned upon and more groundbreaking. Think, if we could cure cancer today by torturing one person, would we?

  • @keeeeeg not true, they wouldn't have been able to make artificial lungs and hearts with out the knowledge they got from these kinds of experiments.

  • i know! fuck why not use a convicts head

  • @keeeeeg studies like this werent frowned apart in this time period

  • Yeah animal abuse sucks. They could have used Jews.

  • lol upvoting this comment

  • If women around my city were more like you, I would be married already.

  • @Viktir666 they could have also used you and your white trash family instead for these experiments

  • @ohsnazbot I wish I grew up with a White family, you spineless ape.

  • ThIs is just jacked... i hope they went to hell.

  • Sorry bro, hell probably doesn't exist.

  • It is quite brutal but if it wasnt for these kind of experiments we wouldnt have life saving techniques such as heart transplants. Is it worth it? I think so...

  • Is the dog head alive or just responding through the subconscious stuff that is programmed into everything?

  • Don't know. But the question you should be asking yourself is "IS THERE A DIFFERENCE?!"

    (The answer is probably)

  • Trippy.

  • thats my dog lilly

  • if the dogs head is just a head and a bit of neck, how is it moving its head around with nothing to pivot off of?

  • muscle contraction

  • I thought the dog head survived for like 30 minutes instead of a few

    Still that'd be pretty interesting

If I ever wanted to be a cyborg it'd be like "hey chop my head off, stick it in liquid oxygen and just build me a robot body"

Well maybe not that simple but it'd be pretty cool

    or creeepy

  • why is the opening in english??

  • Because it fits better with the rest of the narration, which is also in English.

  • @gell7 Well hell the Soviets can speak english too!

  • creepy on multiple levels! it dosent look fake. too bad there aren't other angles of the head...

    soon zombies!

  • waait, did they just chop off a head of a live dog or they chopped it off form a dead dog? i read video description :S

  • Both are equally as horrible, lol.

  • living dog. they reconnected the arteries/veins from the head to the machine, then removed the head.

  • That wasn't citric acid...

  • Sry i meant cyborgs.

  • If this was possible in the 40's, we should have androids by now.

  • It seems we have gotten more stupid when people started to abuse drugs :3

  • haha maybe your right ^^

  • 10,000 BC?

  • People do not like going against their own moral code. Stem cells etc.

  • You mean just like we have flying cars and radiation-heated asphalt?

  • He talks like Borat!

  • Doesn't seem real. First of all, how is the dog's head moving, no blood on fur (was it cleaned after surgery?), and why wasn't the fur shaved (as is the custom on parts where surgery is performed.

  • I saw a version with better contrast (where it looked as if the eyes were showing expression) and I burst out crying. Upon viewing the whole thing, I think it's clear this dog was half dead and slipping away during filming and most likely passed directly after. At least I hope so. Anyway, this dog has been at peace for nearly 70 years one way or another.

  • wow.... thats was totally disturbing and amazing at the same time

  • reply to zero flamer:

Get a degree, or even get through an anantomy class before diareaa spews from your mouth.

  • Russian Lies

  • do some research. thanks....

  • this is kinda like that thing in the music video by Metallica for the song One, the guy with the glasses looks like the monopoly guy

  • The guy with the glasses is actually pretty crazy. His father used him as a guinea pig in dangerous experiments. He later became sort of a scientific guru. Kind of like Bill Nye, only Bill Nye wasn't an insane communist.

  • @JaeEffingKae Do you know what the name of the guy in the glasses is?
