  • you lost me 1:00

  • Lost at 3:40...

  • i dont get it after you unflatten the model

  • i dont get it after you unflatten the model after making the spiral

  • crap, i can follow the video up to the point where you un-flatten the model after making the spiral, you are tucking in the corners but i can't figure out how

  • That tutorial was very helpful. I have a basic understanding of origami but couldn't do this model from the book. Your tutorial showed how to do it nicely.

  • darling...you do it very nicely...

but it s way to fast, the paper is to used (you can have an idea of where you folded it first), and it's white...what makes it more difficult to see.

but you do it very good yourself.

  • @mafelix Yeah, I know... I've learned from comments here on youtube, but I haven't had nearly enough time to make a new video for it... And I didn't have any origami paper at the time, so I used plain printer paper... Sorry... :(

  • what a nice shell very good i was able to make it :3

  • thank you i made it :D

  • Sweet Vid!!

***tooth picks I find help at the end when you are trying to pop open the flaps if you can't get your fingers to open it

  • i dont get it at all! mabey you should slow down a bit plz p.s can yo show the steps a little more closely

  • for a really kool looking one ive seen one made with a map and it looks really kool!

  • Hi, do you know how to reduce the 4 holes to 1. in "Origami for the Connoisseur", it shows a version that only has one hole. I tried it for a long time but could not do it. Any hints that you can provide would be much appreciated.

  • hmmm...i don't know! i saw that too in the book, but it gave no hint on how that works... maybe ask adamsara, as i don't own the book, i just borrowed from my local library... sorry!

  • Thanks for your reply. I will continue my quest.

  • I think the video is overall very nice, however I'm stuck at 6.16 minutes. Please, help!

  • thank you so much. i don't know what your talking about though. i could do it on my first time watching the video. it was clear enough. good job.

  • El videos es bueno... pero el que muestra las instrucciones es muy malo... cubre con sus manos los dobleces que va realizando.... lo que hace que la producción sea mala.

    Salu2

  • no creo q entienda espanish carnal :)

  • Oye el papel está más arrugado que tus calzones... no permite apreciar los dobleces que vas creando.

    Salu2

  • woohoooo...i finally made it......with an ivory sheet!....thanks!!...it was reall helpful for my project :D

  • it reminds me of the espiral by tomoko fuse.

on some of the steps it does the same thing as the espiral. thank you!

  • that was fun to make! :D

  • Thank you. I'm glad you liked it! :D

  • Thanks for the video!! I made the shell!! :)

  • you're welcome... however, i am feeling somewhat guilty of posting this video without exactly getting toshikazu kawasaki's permission... :) but i'm glad you liked it!

  • birdbase is easy

  • THank you sooooo much. I've been wanting to do thos model for quite a while :D.

Also, do you think you can do a tutorial for the "Sea snail shell" if it is the book "Origami For The Connoisseur" you have... Any way, thnx!

  • Hi.I folded a shell and it came out pretty well. Thanks for the video! :)

  • And some folders say that the bird base has been completely investigated...

  • no, most certainly not! there are so many elegant models that have yet to be discovered from the simplest of bases.

  • I don't know what people are complaining about, I made it just fine :D This is so cool! It's always fun to do Kawasaki origami designs :)

You're quite talented for someone your age. It's good that you have the chance to do origami. I found it fascinating in elementary school, but no one taught it and our internet wasn't as vast as it is now. We didn't even have books at our library 'cause no one knew what it was XDD But good for you! At least someone had the chance :D

  • yeah, i'm pretty lucky. oh, and this too... PSSST! MY NEW RUBIKS CUBE TUTORIAL IS COMING OUT SOON! PLZ WATCH!! :)

  • i made one and im 11 also the law says you have to make more vidos like this~!!!!!!!!!

  • !!!!!! it's the law?! holy crap, i'm goin' to jail soon then. theres no way i can make anymore videos anytime soon! T_T too much work....

  • omg that is so cool thanks for posting it

  • thanks a bunch! however, i will try to post a better video sometime. if you have any requests for a model, i will ladly try to find diagrams for it as well as post an instructional video. =D

  • u need to go much slower and speak up i'm just telling u the truth and stop complaining about the ratings

  • well, atleast somones truthful. :D thanks for telling me. i always want to improve, but i can't if no one tells me. i will try to post a vid sometime, but that will be difficult with school on the way. :S

  • thanks and just a word of advice it may b easier for u to fold it if the creases r already there but it makes it harder for the viewer to c if it helps ur welcome if i sounded annoying sry

  • no, no it's fine. :D thanks for the advice!

  • Cool! Very clear too :)

  • thank you very much. i really appreciate it!
