I didn't try any others. It's in there - a lot (unfortunately).

These myths of spirits and gods are passed down as traditions and thus live on despite strong evidence to the contrary. Didnt say that the wages of sin is burning forever, but it said DEATH. You have to look at the bible as a whole instead of isolating scriptures. Every1 knows that many verses in the bible are symbolic. Has it ever occurred to U that Jesus was speaking symbolicly? .... So how is it possible for us to burn eternally when eternal life is a gift? Thats why Ecclesiastes 9:10 says that the dead are UNCONSCIOUS and LIFELESS. The gift of God is eternal life, that is true. But the gift wasn't free. It cost Jesus Christ His life to pay for your and my sins. To receive this "free" gift one must believe that Jesus Christ paid the penalty for one's sins. "Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and thou shalt be saved." It is that simple.

The Pastor kept his cool very well, but was not allowed to make his point 'cause the "all knowing" Bill kept interrupting him frequently. It's all about him. However, on the question of hell I am convinced that if it's there in the Bible, then it relates to the seriousness of sin, not some hell fire where the wicked are roasted for eternity. Incidentally, many early Bible translations do not contain the word hell. At the same time, many are the scriptures that show that God will reconcile ALL.

You can pull up a concordance and enter the word, "Hell" or "Hades" and see how many times it is mentioned in both the New and Old Testaments. Websites will let you do it very quickly - it's quite informative. I found the word Hell 54 times just now and my search is not exhaustive. I think Hades was used at least another ten. I didn't try any others. It's in there - a lot (unfortunately).

The Bible and Jesus (in both the new and old testaments) speak of Hell multiple times. The question should not be, "is there a Hell," but, "is the Bible true or not?" This guy has either 1) not read it, or 2) is really saying, "i don't like that it says there is a hell!" No one wants to believe there is a hell...not even believers. That's kind of the point. And IF there is a "Satan" he is laughing his head off at this guy down in his "make believe hell". True or not? You decide!

@larmillar If you have to ignore and cherry pick out so much of the bible because it doesn't fit in with your values, why be a Christian at all? If one part is wrong doesn't that mean all or many parts can also be wrong? It makes no sense! I was raised Christian, and by middle school started calling myself a deist because I realized the bible was barbaric.( By 16 I let that go and became an atheist). Just let go of the religions people..
