i doubt they are going to balance characters in SSF4. the main appeal of that game will be the new characters. people wont care about OP sagat because they will be satisfied with their third strike/alpha characters.

Gen has 900 HP and 900 stun to go along with his difficult move set and mediocre damage.

Sagat has 1100 HP and 1100 stun to go along with his super-simple moveset and high damage.

How is this not balanced?

I think you should watch more then just the HP, stun and damage.

Sagat pro: Massive Damage, massive HP, fast shooting, dangerous Anti Air.

contra: only a poking MK, crappy crossup, terrible focus attack range, abnormaly slow

Gen pro: Many high priority moves, easy and still punish-safe combos, two different fighting styles, very low jumps, extreme focus attack range

contra: low damage, low HP, some dangerous recovery times, difficult to master

Yes, because Sagat is braindead in this game. The Sagat player missed a bunch of opportunities and was generally sub-par.

The better player doesn't always win in this pos game. Thought everyone realized that by now.

Its amazing how you can play so well and then you leave your guard down for half a second and then characters like sagat or ryu can take over half your health in the blink of an eye...

sagat wins, but for me, gen player its better... im a gen player too, and the combos are soooo sick!!!. And play against a good sagat like that, and resist like this its so dificult... hope i can play against you gib some day. I am tigreIIII of xbox 360, maybe change tactics and combos.

Looks like he could have but only getting one hit in and being that close to the ground its hard to be ready for, and I think he rolled afterwords which means he was charging for the double roundhouse into roll combo. I sometimes accidentally roll as well if I get enough charge in and then quickly move forward to do the super/ultra motions. Good chance thats what happened there.

I really think Cajun has the advantage becasue he know how Jibbo plays Gen. If Jibbo Takes hisGen into EVO, I think he will do very well since not many players know what Gen can do. I've seen Jibbo trounce other players with MK -> hands. ! Day I will learn that but i jsut can't on the fightpad.
