When a child that young is crying you should pick it up. At that age they are not crying for no reason . Until they become 6 months old they cry becuase one of their needs are not met, be it a physical, social or emotional need. if you take any early developmental education class they will tell you the same thing. If your worried about spoiling a one month old baby you obviously have issues.
