There was a "WLBZ, the place to be" singing ID that went with this too, though I can't remember if they did anything beyond that.
Their "main" promo campaign was for many years "Count on Us" which had its own jingle based on Gari's Good News package. They haven't used that in 10 years but I still remember all the words.
I guess Bangor's "big three" all did localized network campaigns. :-)
I've seen the local "We've Got the Touch '83" promo for WABI (though it was from another site) and your local "America's Watching ABC '90" for WVII as well, in addition to WLBZ's version of "The Place to Be". Good work!
Other than that fact, there is no way possible any part of this identity could be from '85 (expect maybe for the numeric logo) because the six-feathered NBC peacock was not implemented until the fall of 1986.
That is to hard to undrstand!

The background music comes from NBC's "The Place to Be" promo campaign, which only started in 1990.
I think the "Count on us" slogan though lasted til what, 1997?

Exactly. how could this be from 1985 if "The Place to Be" slogan did not occur until 1990? I think the user meant 1990, not 1985.
