Horrid...Placing laws for animals to be treated humanely seems to be a waste. No matter how many laws are in effect they still abuse these animals. The next resort is to make slaughter houses illegal. End there Nazi concentration camp. Put the pressure on Cargill and Tyson to make meat substitutes or go out of business.
It is proven that beef from cattle that are grass-fed is much more humane for the animals and is much lower in fat and calories. Plus, it has more protein.
I'm near vegan so I wouldn't eat meat even if it were treated humanely, but if you want to eat meat, then please go to farmers' markets and ask for meat and chicken that is treated well on small family farms. You can do it if you have the will. It is more expensive and you have to cook it yourself. It's not easy, but it is better than what's going on. Do not eat at fast food restaurants! Anything like that is cheap, factory produced junk.

Why do people have to be so stooped on how your supposed to raise animals? They should let them live happy lives then put them down in a humane way so they don't have to suffer like this.
@RotisserieiJamie I agree. If Jehovah God said it's okay to slaughter animals for their meat, then it's fine. However, we have to find ways of killing them that causes the least pain and suffering.
